OT: Official 2021 Tompa Bay Gronkaneers Thread

Hot take: I don’t think the playcall was that egregious. If the blitz hits home, and it almost did, regulation time is over right there and then. It is what it is.
You just don’t take a gamble like that at that moment certainly not against the best QB against the Blitz this year.

He just had his press conference and I didn't get any sense that he was going to walk away. He said he would just take some time to process everything and that he was concentrating really just on winning the game and not his future.
I still think that he'll be back. But for him to think about it means that the 2022 season will definitely be the last year.

Maybe. Also wouldn't be surprised to see him sign an extension either.

Just the fact that Brady finished the game 30/54 with like at least 10 clear drops with this pass rush. It’s crazy.

his receiver were more afraid to get hit than him.
Bucs have had drop problems both years Brady has been there. It seems to be the worst against Rams and Saints.

His philosophy has always been flat out stupid. You pay all that money for your edge rushers, and you still need to bring in two blitzers instead of having extra defensive backs? That call was in Rob Gronkowski, Safety territory but with much greater stakes.

With the best WR, and this years version of AB in OBJ.

I'd be shocked. That's exactly the opposite of the rumors circulating.

OBJ is a FA and has always wanted to play with Brady. Something for the Bucs to look at this offseason especially if the Rams don’t get a ring this year and he’s still chasing.

I'm not sure how much stock I put in any of these rumors. I mean I guess I wouldn't be surprised either way but it's not like anybody has had anything concrete just hunches.

I think this will be the case. Bucs cap situation next year is very generous. Also easy to move more cap around by him signing some fake extension. They have space to reload and go for one last ride.

I would like to see him get to age 45 not only because it's an absurd number but because he's playing such great football as well.

I mean Bowles in one play threw the great 2nd half the D had in the trash

Can you please buzz off.
Well it's irritating when fans (Not just here) need to always put blame on someone.

The players as a whole on D didn't execute.

Not everything needs to be a blame game.

Two good teams played. It went down to the end.

His style works with a lead there is no doubt about that. You have to be able to cover a bit more.
Absolutely.

I guess they either change the scheme or get a new coordinator.

Bowles will likely get a HC gig here soon too

Go watch your team and get outta here.

Brady, Mahomes, Allen, Stafford, and Burrow absolutely put it all on the line this weekend. I’d say to some degree so did Garoppolo and even Tannehill (despite the results.). The throws and plays these guys were attempting, with insane playoff speed and intensity, has been fun to watch. It really shows just have precise and perfect you have to be.

Rodgers is an absolute fraud. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a “superstar” as pathetic as this guy. It disgusts me that he’s winning the MVP after watching these games and Brady’s immense effort today.
