OT: Official 2021 Tompa Bay Gronkaneers Thread

I just don’t want the Rams next week
Yea I think the Cards are preferable for the Bucs instead of Rams. Especially if Hopkins is out or just a decoy playing at 60%.

Yeah that’s just that I feel the Rams like saints. They seem to have Bucs number.

That front 4 can get pressure without blitzing.

I am not that much afraid of the front 4 by itself. I think they can cover. They will probably play man across the board with Ramsey on Evans and none of the secondary target will get open. And I am afraid of Kupp torching this defense

The clock operator also pulled a sneaky trick in the first half. Niners were trying to run out clock near own end zone, and they stopped the clock 2-3 seconds before the whistle. Play clock ran 2-3 seconds only. I don’t know who operates these clocks, bit it’s absurd if it isn’t an NFL official rather than some hometown homer.
With the constant gambling ads being pushed down our throats how do they allow this? Bring in an NFL operator like the NHL does.

Stafford sucks and if he wins tomorrow he’ll choke to the Bucs. And honestly he’s probably gonna lose tomorrow because the Cards are like 3-5 at home and 8-1 on the road including in LA or something like that.

It’s gonna be Bucs/Cards book it.

Also Bucs get a full week to rest while the Cards have 1 fewer days

Mike Evans would be an all-pro if he ran the routes he’s run the last two games instead of decoy routes. Since AB‘s meltdown, he has 15 catches on 17 targets, 164 yards and 2 TDs.

Eh you play who you play. If you cant beat the Rams then you you dont deserve to move on. I heard the same about the saints last year too in the playoffs.

KC pretty much has a bye this game as Roethlisberger has nothing left. Rivers and Brees had more left last year then what Ben has this year.
Every move and throw this year with him is like watching film in slow motion.

Ben is almost 40 and Rodgers just had his 38th. I'm calling a decline in Roger's game starting next year at 39. He'll be done at 40.

As the resident Evans critic I'll be the first to admit that he's been very good since AB left. He will need to do more. The reason I don't want LA is they will pur Ramsey on him and try to make Brady throw to the scrubs and obliterate him. The defense was good this game but again they played from ahead and against a high-school qb.

They're running very concepts now, with much of the play developing out of the backfield and using the middle of the field. This is no longer based on the idea of taking the top off the defense to isolate a receiver 10-15 yards downfield. Ramsey is tough, no doubt, but Evans did have 8 catches on 10 targets, 106 yards in game one. Maybe they put Ramsey on Godwin; I don't remember.

Bengles vs Titans Saturday 4pm (Cbs)
49ers vs Packers Saturday 815 (Fox)

rams/cardinals vs Bucs Sunday 4pm (Fox)
Bills vs KC Sunday 8pm (nbc)

this is my bet of schedule for next week

I know that the MVP is a foregone conclusion as those same 50 media guys picked Rodgers 1st team all pro but this article summarizes very well what we have been saying here all along.

I feel like the Bills are gonna kill the Chiefs.
Well they definitely won't keep punting the ball back to the Chiefs over and over, and give them a games worth of possessions in the 1st half alone.

Wow. The top dog at Patspulpit actively rooting for the Eagles over Brady to move up 1 draft spot. Lol rooting for the team that undeservedly won the SB.

(7) Philadelphia Eagles at (2) Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Go Eagles! Wait, go Eagles?! Okay, hear us out for a second. Tom Brady losing today would be the better outcome for the Patriots. Why? Because they would move up a spot in the first-round draft standings in case the Eagles advance. New England currently holds pick No. 21 but has some potential to improve that position today. The team would at the very least jump to No. 20 in case of a Philadelphia win over Brady and company. |

Losers

This is an absolute disgrace that these Steelers are playing tonight. What a disaster for the NFL regarding their own product.

Me: At least their product can’t become any more of a three ring circus than what we saw in the first half.
