Would think he has to leave eventually and make his name elsewhere.
Why?

Yea but I don't think he'll jump until hes out of the game. Too much job security and something to learn.Would think he has to leave eventually and make his name elsewhere.
Because he won't go.Because they don't think Bill would let him go? It's not like other teams haven't been poaching coordinators from Bill's staff forever. There must be another reason.
Even though you have learned from the best in the game I would still like someone who has tasted another menuWhy?
Teams are interviewing Mayo, so that's not an excuse.
He overachieved every year but, this year when he probably about hit the mark.Ross’ judgment aside, the point was Flores was hired to coach the dolphins and the result wasn’t SUCCESS, really in no reasonable definition.
I don’t think any owner would make a hire defining the expectations as successful being 24-25, no playoffs and discord among the management team.
Huh? Why wouldn't he want to try something different and make his own mark instead of operating under Bill's shadow?Because he won't go.
That's what they said about Flores. Anyway, there's more established coaches like Bienemy, Bowles, Leftwich to meet that criteria.Mere Rooney Rule compliance, nothing more.

I agree with you it must be a dream for any young upcoming coach to be learning from the best in the game , (and be around other coaches like Ivan Fears) and be located for such a great programme and organisation.Fair enough, I’m fine with him continuing to learn on this staff but it’s a fair point.
Every situation is different and depends on the circumstances.Huh? Why wouldn't he want to try something different and make his own mark instead of operating under Bill's shadow?
Shanahan, Mora, Ryan, Bowden, Schottenheimer, Phillips, Shula, Holtz, Kiffin are just a few names of sons that went on to coach other teams.
Mullet Boy will leave once Bill is done.I agree. teams aren’t looking at him because they know he’s sticking with N.E.

He needs to cut that freaking thing. Drives me nuts.
Maybe. Not sure what would happen there.Im not sure about that. If MacDaniels takes over for Belichick I think we could see the entire organization stay in place initially. After that we could see changes piecemeal. I think this is what the Kraft’s are hoping for overall. Whether or not MacDaniels can become a good head coach or not is an open question, but he has certainly had the opportunity to learn and develop from the GOAT.
I’m not either but I think stability in transition is the goal the Kraft’s have in mind.Maybe. Not sure what would happen there.
I don’t agree with that. I’m not saying be sucked, but he didn’t “achieve” anything. He overachieved every year but, this year when he probably about hit the mark.
Agree with that. Bob wants synergy and succession plans.I’m not either but I think stability in transition is the goal the Kraft’s have in mind.
There seems to be a tendency to use the Rooney rule to identify coaches that are a few years away, targeting the next hire rather than the current. That's what they said about Flores. Anyway, there's more established coaches like Bienemy, Bowles, Leftwich to meet that criteria.
