Game Day Thread Official Post Game Thread- Miami beats the Pats

THIS IS OUR LIVE GAME DAY THREAD:

This is where we gather to follow things on Game Day. Obviously, emotions tend to be high so if anyone gets a little crazy, the use of the “Mute” button is encouraged on anyone who may be annoying to you to control your experience and to allow the moderators to also enjoy the game.

At the same time, please take a deep breath before over-reacting for the sake of making this a pleasant experience for everyone.

on that replay it looked like knee to knee contact with another Pats defender, I think to the side of Barmore's knee. If he couldn't walk on it, then he's gotta be out for a while if not well into next season. Obviously the worst thing about this forgettable game.
Hopefully it's a bone on bone thing that gives him a chance to play next week.

Zebras decided this game
Yeah it sure as hell wasn't the pick six, the dumbass **** offsides when they had a chance to go for it, the botched snap/Mac fumble. And all the times they let Miami run the ball up their ass. It was clearly the refs fault we dug ourselves in a hole and couldn't get out of it.

slomo show a closer/better angle . hopefully just a shock&bruiser but could well be ligament

Ligament on the grass? Thanks for the video. Might have pulled something before the crash with JJ, but a ligament is usually a twisting action. Hard to see a twist there.

Our run defense is pure trash, no other way to say.

Hope we have a chance at this guy in the draft:

Bengals and Bills probably licking their chops on chance to play against the Patriots, in 1st round.....

I'd rather this Bills play the Charges, something different... Division opponents in the playoff's is not appealing IMO.

If I was any other team in the AFC playoffs the pats would be at the top of my list of teams I'd wanna play. Anyone being honest with themselves would agree.

This isn't a great way to go into the playoffs losing three out of four and quite frankly looking bad on all the losses. Mac hasn't looked great during these losses either.

At this point I'm not sure how much confidence anyone can have in this team making a deep playoff run especially how bad this team has looked over the last month
The 2021 NEP have talent but are a few notches down the ladder from being a true contender.

I think it's reasonable they can win a playoff game but a SB? That's fantasy at this point.

A very, very painful four weeks. Just some idiotic football, but also some very, very, very bad calls for that were game changing.

Pray Chargers win tonight. I think we’ll easily beat Cincinnati. Fingers crossed we play the Titans and I think we’ll have a great chance at going to the AFCCG. Don’t think we could beat KC or Buf though.

If we go to BUF, I think we can win - ONLY if every bounce goes perfectly in the 1st qtr and we get a lead of 10 or so.
If we go to CIN, I think we'll lose no matter what. They can score 10x as potently as MIA.

The real issue is how can we fix this D next year while losing our trusted leaders - DMC & HT, and Guy & KVN getting old. None of these young guys have the smart clutch gene. And if they let JC walk for $, we're even more stuck.
Offense - another year will improve this group a lot.

At times the the fresh assembly of this team shows. They get too excited about their position and seemingly believe in the press clippings. They have good players who seem to be play bad in all these losses.

This is who the Pats are. They are not a SB contender. But I’m still thrilled with the Pats 2021 season. A rebuilding team with a rookie QB and a bunch of new guys, that goes 10-7 and gets to the playoffs. Definitely a successful season.

I fully expect them to be one and done, Cincy & Buffalo are just better than the Pats. BUT if they surprise us with a win, that’s just icing on the cake. I’m excited to see what they do in free agency and the draft to improve this team. I fully expect improvement next year. Would love to see some more explosive weapons for Mac. Also hoping Mac improves, he has shown so much promise as a rookie, but I’m hoping for less INTs next year. Also hoping for a beast in the middle to help against the run.

This game sucked, to be down 17-0 is just a killer, but if the defense just got some stops after that, the game was winnable, got almost all the way back. Going 1-3 in the last 4 games was sobering. All 3 losses to good teams, we just can’t beat good teams, doesn’t bode well for the playoffs.

The pats take care of the football & they can play with anyone. They effectively had three turnovers today (pick 6, fumbled snap & 4th down punt penalty).

I still think they matchup well with the bengals. It sucks they played poorly in three of their last four games but it's still in front of them IMO.

Go chargers!

Pats will likely lose both games given how they are playing last 4 weeks but i will take my chances vs the unknown in the bengals playing us and zac taylor's first playoff appearance vs BB.

I think the Pats can beat either team. Both are finesse offenses. If the Pats play physical, they can shut down the offenses or at least slow them down. They cannot play soft zone like they did on the first drive today or the whole game three weeks ago against Buffalo especially if Barmore is out for the game.

It was encouraging to see the offense score TD’s in the fourth quarter. The defense has been keeping them in the game but can’t get must have stop when needed.

Thanks for the link.

I watched it 10 times and I still can't tell how Barmore got injured...

Barmore was already of his knees before JoeJu hit him. Barmore's leg wasn't caught under him or anything. I could understand a chest injury, but no clue how he hurt his leg.
