In an annoying sort of way, that was sort of funny. Reminds me of 2018 -- another depressing but hilarious ending. Let's hope for some similarities in the playoffs. Speaking of, I saw we're slated for Cincinnati. Is that set in stone, or pending the night game results?
Vintage 2021 loss there. Lost turnovers 2-0, bonehead penalty on ST to award the other team with a first down, and defense failing to make a late stop. Also a gutless decision to punt at the end of half 1. These are all easy ways to lose a game and we seem to excel at that.
On the bright side, Hunter Henry really showed up today, we could really use that in the postseason. And Mac again showed the ability to bring us back after a poor start, the defense just didn't let him complete it. I have a tad more faith in the offense despite the 1-3 collapse towards the end. Less faith in the D though.
That all said, the most important takeaways here are the health of Barmore and Wynn, especially Barmore. Losing him would be absolutely devastating.
As currently constituted, this team needs to play a near perfect game to win against good competition. The D can't stop the run. A big Wilfork type NT to clog up the middle is a must.
Nice to see we've only given up more than 300yds passing twice this year. Looking forward to the playoffs, as it's been a long dry spell for New England football. Today was a speed bump. Big thing will be Barmore, though.
I don’t usually agree on this unless we talk about the 06 colts game or the no hold on Ohara on Seymour in 07. But yeah, I’m pretty sure their were some obvious calls missed that were game changing. Judon got put in a strangle hold that might of been a blind side sack. Possibly a turnover. It wasnt until the miami was up 2 scores in the 4th quarter that they eased off.
Ok, so too many runs in the last drive. They worked but took too long. Also that was the dumbest last play I have ever seen. Why wouldn’t you throw the ball down field before starting laterals?
Mac's first pass attempt being a pick-6 was a horrible play, and a bad rookie read. We're just not equipped to come from behind... unless the stupid coaches (yes I'm talking JMD and BB) get their heads out of their 1950's asses and mix up the tempo anytime before the last possession of the game. And AGAIN - knowing our ugly record in MIA, why defer?!? They've been talking about the need to start fast, but keep deferring the ball! It's so stupid. It doesn't work out when your team isn't a "closer" offensively.

Would love to see a true NT here, but I'd rather them upgrade the LB's first. A lot of age in that unit, and what youth they have can't get on the field.
Defense not doing its job, Mac is sloppy with the ball, penalties and more penalties.
Lots to fix fir a playoff game on the road. Whomever they play. They will lose. PATRIOTS beat bad teams, compete against average teams and lose to good teams.
This was the worst part of the game. Teams like the Bills go for it on 4th and 3 from midfield to keep the pressure on you. And we **** around and come out on 4th and the length of a fleas pube and hard count the defense 3 times and punt.
I hate to say it but we need one of those stat nerds to get in Bills ear and tell him to go for it on 4th more
