Aaron Rodgers positive for COVID (update: “furious” status leaked, claims he didn’t lie, attacks NFL protocols)

Yep, I don't see it changing either. 3-4% of big company's workforce are being fired right now. Businesses are about to go into hyperdrive on vx for employees. The current Supreme Court case is practically irrelevant given what's happening in corporate America. Companies are asking workers to return to the office but they're being met with demands by a majority of their highly skilled workforce. This will change the math on vaccines on the next 6 months.

Plus, you have life insurance companies & health care companies who are finally doing the bean counting on the last 2 years. It's not pretty. Those costs are going to get passed onto companies. 40% increase in the # of deaths for working age people 18-60 and that cost will be born by business, but insurance companies are already saying they will target people living in high unvaxxed counties for a majority of that cost. Same goes for health insurance.

Regardless of what OSHA does, we're about to see big business make huge changes, and the NFL will follow those practices.
I think he will retire. No way he deals with more restrictions next year.

And Boomer does not just drop bomb stories like this either. I think Rodgers probably wanted this story out there if true. I mean the timing is dynamite right before the last game which is meaningless for the Packers so this bombshell will be the talk all weekend and next week especially if he goes on MacAfee and plays coy like he usually does and does not outright deny it. To be honest, if it is false, he should come out on Social Media today and vehemently deny it.
I'm going off the deep end here but let's play along that the Boomer scoop is true. It goes back to his beef with the current testing/vax policy which impacts unvax'd players greater than the vax'd.

Bottomm line IMO is Rodgers doesn't want to be tested at all as he is fearful it will hurt his eligibility for games.

So this little stunt of boycotting the SB (if they are lucky to get there) is his only leverage point and he is using it.

The NFL policy overall is complete garbage but he's not the only one who has to deal with it. I don't buy that he would boycott the SB if he made it because of the damage it would cause. It would accomplish nothing but bad things for him because there is no way the NFL owners and the NFLPA are bowing down to one player even if the policy is a joke.

I agree. He's just using the media to do his passive-aggressive bidding in the hopes they make him exempt. Then when asked in a presser he'll deny it and talk about his feelings about the policy in vagueness and in generalities.

He's bluffing.

Sounds about right. The last 2 years the coverage on QBs has gotten out of control. Tom Brady is everywhere and Rodgers is using MVP seasons to whine like a mule.

Yep and they are also using their fame and influence to either drive their team's personnel decisions (both), commercial (TB12) and political agendas (AR). Can't blame them really...

In all seriousness I think this story is full of ****
Esiason is not a guy with a history of making crap up or being a shock jock like a Cowherd or Skip Bayless. He must really believe his source. Maybe his source is taking him for a ride, but nothing about the story is the least bit unbelievable.

He really is turning into AB ...
He didn’t “openly say that”. Boomer Esiasin said some guy he didn’t name floated a rumor that Rodgers is thinking that.

Little chance that Rodgers would boycott the SB and let an entire fanbase down over the league's covid policy....he would be hated by Packers fans for life.

Yep. It's one big game and one big bluff.

The story is entirely unbelievable. There is no way 1 ring Rodgers us going to get to a SB then choose not to play.

Rams are headed to the SB. This won't be an issue. No team is beating that defense. They can win 10 to 3.

There is every way, though, that 1 ring Rodgers is hoping to win a NFCCG and then make an EMPTY THREAT not to play, in order to get his way.

Maybe he will pair that with holding his breath until he turns blue, and some foot stomping. Probably live on the show with that retired Colts punter.

I’ll play : pretty ballsy for someone (AR) who’s played in the SB once in his long, storied career….

Go ahead, Aaron. No one thinks you’ll lead your team to the last game anyways.

What???
Rams are 15 in points allowed. They haven’t allowed 3 or less all season and only under 10 one time against Jacksonville.
Their defense is very average.

Holy thread revival batman!

Nothing gives any indication of that other than an unnamed source spreading a rumor.

You in the insurance business?
