OT: Official 2021 Tompa Bay Gronkaneers Thread

The problem with stats is you need to have a reason to put up TDs to get them. The JETS put up a huge fight so the offense had to keep throwing and they got stats. If next week TB scores 2 quick TDs and the defense holds and they run one in or whatever they will simply run out the game the rest of the way and Brady could finish with like 250 yards and 1TD. He won't throw from the 1 when you can run it in.
Brady is throwing 46+ passes. Book it.

Not sure if I trust your numbers...Brady only has 42 fourth quarter comebacks, including postseason. One behind Peyton...also, a fourth quarter comeback in SB 42 and 46 would have been nice - Brady had the ability to do it too.

They were doing kicks out of the end zone yesterday. It was maddening. If the can't get it there then at least kick it to the up man so the best returner on the team does not get a chance to burn you with the game on the line. I mean this is coaching 101.
I get what you're saying, and I wanted them to kick the XP, too. I just look at the why of it, and I can at least see it. That's different than the decisions of the Bengals (who should have had to go to OT, and to see the Chiefs win the coin toss, because the decisions were so bad) and Ravens (who deserved to lose every freakin' time with that nonsense).

Those godawful decisions are some that I put on par with the BB decision to go for it on 4th down against the Colts, despite basically all the surrounding context being against such a move.

Thanks bud, here's one for you...

With all what happened today - what a game from Brady - down two TD’s. Yeah it was against the Jets but that was nuts especially that last drive. 93 yards after he got the second first down you just knew and doing that with WRs he would’ve barely even practised with was outstanding.

Evans, Johnson, Grayson, Gronk, Lenny that’s not at all Godwin, Brown level but there are a chance
I'm going to miss Brady's clutch drives generated with mostly no-name receivers.

Such bad football decisions. I mean I can't stand the Ravens but their decisions this season have been infuriating from a football perspective.

Brady has 42 4th Qtr comebacks, 53 game-winning drives and 9 postseason 4th Qtr comebacks, and 14 game-winning drives.
Brady is the Comeback Kid.

Win % when tied or losing in the fourth quarter in the postseason:

Brady - 14/25 - 56.0%
Brees - 3/12 - 25.0%
Rodgers - 2/11 - 18.1%
P. Manning - 2/15 - 13.3%

Thus throw would be in every show if it were Rodgers or Mahomes. The AB drama didn't help either

He said Brady only has....lol So Brady winning 7 superbowls, meh no big deal, he needed to win 9 to impress you. lol. Actually it would have been tough for Brady to have a 4th quarter comeback in either of those games, but again you were not a pats fan until Brady left, so you probably didnt watch those games.

Right idea for sure. And yes, that looked like a sure TD had they called it…Berrios had only Edwards to beat. I thought the Jets would run outside; it worked for them all game. Not sure how anyone could have thought QB sneak needing 7 feet against those guys was the actual call. Lol
Looked like Berrios had a serious limp before that play.

I'm not in a great position for doing research today, so I'll farm this out:

Anyone have w/l percentages for QBs leading at that half and after 3 quarters?

What are you talking about? Brady had 1 minute when he got the ball last in SB 46. And in SB 42, he had 29 seconds to move the ball 45 yards to get into Ghost's range, with 3 TOs - tough but doable - instead he chose to throw low percentage bombs to Randy Moss.

He's a lying sack of dung. The 43 fourth quarter comebacks do not include the postseason, which makes it 52. The list is right here.
