OT: Official 2021 Tompa Bay Gronkaneers Thread

Today’s #Bucs #Jets injury report. The GOAT got a vet day

Maybe there's going to be swelling each week and hopefully he can hang. They aren't winning with just Evans.
I think they could also have rested him with Tom having the day off

Could be but the report says ankle for him and he was also limited yesterday.

Just a theory:

I haven't heard of him getting the bone spur removed, so it could be about minimizing his practice time to keep that from becoming a big problem.

It’s the Jets and then Panthers. Rest literally everyone except Brady if you have to.

Well the unvaccinated Kirk Cousins tested positive so anyone who needed the Packers to lose (the Cowboys) just got screwed. It helps the Bucs though because there’s no realistic chance for the Bucs to overtake the Packers but the Cowboys can, and if they did the Packers fall to the 2 seed which makes it impossible for the Bucs to get it.

At this point they have probably only 1 home game so just have to have everyone healthy. Doesn't look too good long term imo. Everyone is banged up and this season they won't win nfc championship without AB and maybe a top safety or LB.

If anyone can still win the SB , Brady can. The team is good enough, but he'll need AB, Gronk, Evans to play at a high level. If they can get back Fournette, that would be huge.

Brady already has 2 SB dynasties. With another SB, you can say he has a 3rd SB dynasty with the Bucs.

From NFL.com about Wilson's potential last game with Seahawks and goal of winning 3 more SB. He must have wet dreams of Brady's SBs every night, especially the one he lost.
"Wilson, who's played in two Super Bowls with the Seahawks and won one, is clearly convinced he can win a few more. Never mind that outside of Tom Brady, no quarterback has won more than two Super Bowls over the past 25 years. Only three other QBs have won three-plus SB titles in league history (Terry Bradshaw, Joe Montana, Troy Aikman), and they did it in relatively condensed stretches for dynastic teams."

With another SB, you can say he has a 3rd SB dynasty with the Bucs.

Since when does winning 2 super bowls count as a dynasty?

...what? Besides Godwin literally everyone seems to be coming back at the perfect time.

Reminds me of the infamous scene in Brady's 1st SB when the Lambs WR said to another, "The Dynasty begins tonight!"
Wrong dynasty.
Seahags fans talked of dynasty after winning the SB and facing the Patriots in the SB the following year.
In any case fans of a team have a case for believing it's a dynasty if they win 2 SBs in a row. The unstated assumption is that a 3rd win is likely in 1 or 2 more seasons. It's what fans do.
Bet Bills fans talk of dynasty when they lose their 2nd AFCCG in a row this January.
Goes to show how truly impressive the 2 real Patriots dynasties really were.

If winning 2 super bowls in a row is considered a dynasty, the Broncos and dolphins would have one too...I think it's pretty standard that for a dynasty you have to have a minimum of 3 super bowls in a short period of time.

Yup you need 3. That's why KC fans are stupid saying this version of their team is a dynasty

Yeah, for Bucs standards I would say 4 years going deep in the playoff and 2 SBs would easily be a dynasty. Hopefully Brady will and can continue to play at a high level for 2 more years,.. without losing his marriage lol.

I want to see AB, Gronk, and Evans play purely for stat padding purposes.

Gronk and Brady in particular need to close the gap with Harrison/Manning in the all-time TD connection.
