OT: Official 2021 Tompa Bay Gronkaneers Thread

Absolutely. It wasn't surprising to see posters in the Bucs-Bills game day thread actually saying they didn't mind if Bills won. Others swallowed hard rooting for the Bucs, for the goods of the Pats. It's become pathetic how many Pats fans actually hate Brady. They're now officially JETE fans.

The gal from GA that became a Pats fan this season, because of Mac Jones, was shocked at how much vitriol there is against the GOAT coming from Pats fans. I find it amusing that they lambast fans that still want Brady to succeed (like our own Ian does) and ask that we move on; yet they seem to be the butt hurt ones still triggered about Brady daring to leave the Pats. Mortimer Porksley is #1 in the Brady-hate crew, their leader.

He's here acting like he's not a troll because he knows he'll get booted again, but doesn't spare a minute to ridicule this thread and all posters on it on the main thread, and continues to bait posters in the main thread to get Ash to ban them. Yet here he is posting about the "Buccaneers" on a Pats forum, the same exact thing he ridicules. ****ing hypocrite troll.
I never thought in a million years any Pats fans would ever hate Brady especially since he left as a FA and went to the NFC to a team no one cares about. It is really upsetting on so many levels but I guess human nature is such that somehow Brady's success reflects poorly on the Pats when it really doesn't, it actually accentuates his time in NE IMO. I was trying to say this in the Man in the Arena thread about how Brady's legacy was enhanced by his win in Tampa and got a really hard time about how his career narrative did not really change and how I need to stop listening to the media. It was really bizarre. I just chalk it up to extreme homerism.

Nah, I won't get booted in this thread unless I start questioning your "Patriots fandom," according to Ian.

And where did I root for the Bills in the GDT? I didn't realize there was an official Bucs GDT until afterwards because the OP was a loser whom I had on ignore.

I know people think there’s a conspiracy theory against Brady, but the voters for the MVP award have historically not snubbed him at all.

Agree to disagree.

Sportsbooks have posted Packers -7, so I guess that means Jackson is out. I’ll be very surprised if they lose at home to the Browns or Vikings.

I am concerned about the Chiefs in general because I just don’t see them losing again.

I would put the Packers at -7 with Jackson playing.

At all or just regular season? They’re at San Diego on Thursday. Then Pittsburgh, at Cincinnati, and at Denver. That’s a pretty tough stretch.

Yeah, Jackson kind of sucks, but with this backup, their offense is much worse. Regardless, this game is probably a pick em in Vegas with Jackson playing.

Brady, who leads the NFL in passing yards, also is on pace for his second 5,000-yard season. At his current rate of 318 per game, he’ll finish with 5,406.

Brady still on pace to have his best passing yard season.

And is on pace for his 2nd highest TD total of 47.

He'll have his 2 and 3rd best statistical season with the Bucs.

Arians says Gio Bernard is getting an MRI on his hip today to determine the severity there. Said they want to know more about Jamel Dean's "wooziness" and whether it's concussion-related or more of an illness.

No team in NFL history has scored 30+ points in every home game in a season. Eight teams have had seven such games (all but one), most recently the 2014 Packers. If Bucs can do so vs. Saints and Panthers in their remaining two home games, they'd be the first.

The criticism that refs are constantly helping Brady would make more sense to me if the Bucs weren't literally 31st in the NFL in net penalty yards. Only one team in the league has a worse ratio of penalty yards against them vs. what they have gained: minus-207 yards in 2021.

Miller isn't in Arians' doghouse. He just hasn't done much with Bucs' current WR depth. He has two catches for 11 yards in five games. Doesn't play on special teams much and his size limits how well he can block on run plays. His role dropped off significantly after AB's arrival.

Looking at these stats on Brady from PFR. There’s really only one thing that stands out from his 2019 season: throwaways.

Well, I guess you guys have to root for GB next week now with Lamar not missing any time...
