OT: Official 2021 Tompa Bay Gronkaneers Thread

All and all they will be fine. Their only tough game is the Bills and it is at home and the Bills lost their top CB. Hopefully everything rounds out so this team is its healthiest come January.
I think the Saints game is the toughest for them. They'll hammer the Bills at home IMO. They'll win both but this Monday night game with NE will be one of the games of the year. Buffalo IMO must win while NE can afford to lose.

Yeah. Saints are always tough. If they lose tonight to Dallas and Bucs beat Atlanta, they have a 4 game lead with 5 to go. Not sure how realistic the #1 seed anyways so I am thinking they get the 3 and open the playoff at home.

Ya I haven't looked at tie breakers with GB but I have to assume they would lose based on conference games if both teams lose say another game.

The Saints...in Tampa...with Taysom Hill at QB...no Michael Thomas...and maybe a banged up Kamara. Also they’ll probably be on a 7 game losing streak with literally nothing to play for

If the Bucs can’t moonwalk over them then they weren’t winning the SB anyway.

Divisional game in 3 weeks where the Oline will play and Kamara will play and the defense has given TB fits. Could be a beating but could be a struggle too. They'll win either way but to say moonwalk is garbage.

Sean Payton owns the Bucs. He could have a potted plant as his QB and it'd still be a close game.

Saints game is never a guaranteed W. Payton owns Arians and the defense matches well vs Tampa offense

He couldn't talk about the review that was happening in the background is probably why he said that. Just a guess. AB is not more hurt than he was before and Arians last week said he would play this week. Edwards was playing pretty well but at least it looks like Dean isn't lost even though he probably will be after a few hits, and Davis is coming back.

I don't want to jump into this, because it's all ridiculous, but think back on what happened with Gronk before you declare some certainty here.

Anything is possible but here are the 2 options:

1- AB had a setback over the weekend because he was set to be ready to go per Arians
2- NFLPA and NFL were negotiating the punishment so that AB and the others waive the appeals and keep it quiet. AB doesn't present to the facility at all this week. Coach is asked what the deal with AB is before the 'investigation' is done and answers the way he did.

Of course the injury was more complicated than they originally thought 6 WEEKS AGO. It's not that all of sudden he hurt himself this weekend, MOST LIKELY. I don't know why you are doubling down on this.

In other words what changed since end of LAST WEEK. That's all that matters in regards to what that guy was arguing about. He possibly injured himself over the weekend or a mystery suspension. Today we found out.

First, I wasn't doubling down on anything. I hadn't posted on the news until just then.
Second, we've seen, again and again, Arians and the Bucs undersell injuries this year.
Third, I didn't say that any reason was right or wrong. I just suggested you take in some information before concluding, because of the weirdness with the Bucs and injury time estimates this season.
Fourth, "“Arians says Antonio Brown has an ankle sprain near his heel, and when asked if he could be back after the bye for Week 10, he said they don’t know and it could be more longterm.”"

Antonio Brown Injury Update: Brace for an extended absence

People have been guessing at his return since he first went on the shelf, and the date has been pushed back repeatedly. This is not the first time.

To repeat: Look at Gronk. He's an obvious example, and he's not the only one. And that'll be all for me on the subject.

So you think things have changed since late last week? I strongly disagree. That article is from October and the coach said last week he was probably good to go vs Atlanta. In fact he was pretty sure on it. He just happen to change his mind over the weekend when they were dealing with this stuff I guess. AB was hurt and in the facility for weeks but now all of a sudden he's not here any day this week before they announce this suspension. Come on man.

AB already caught the Rona, he's good to go. Get some rest champ and get ready for the playoffs. Other than that Idgaf.

This is kind of funny because missing this many games again is gonna kill AB’s market and he’ll resign for like $2 million next year.

It's very possible with his age, injuries this year and the fact that he's a handful. Will a team that doesn't have TB12 be able to keep him in check?

No chance in hell.

This isn't the Patriots forum. This is, literally, The Tom Brady Forum. And you're posting in it.
Every post of his that I've seen has been to criticize those fans who root for Brady. Is he even a Pats fan?

What is unclear with the schefter report is: are those guys vaccinated now?

is it a case of they gave fake vaccination card at the beginning of training camp and got vaccinated afterward or are they still not vaccinated.

if they are still not vaccinated you could make a case for suspending them until the end of the season.

you can’t convince me that those guys are the only one in the league who gave fake vaccination card. It all came to light because of AB relations once again otherwise I don’t think it would have come up at all.

Take a healthy Gronk in his prime or a healthful Gonzalez in his prime for one game.

If you have to even think about it you’re a moron.

Gonzalez was overrated. He was a good blocker (not a great one), and a great pass catcher, and his consistency and durability are remarkable. A clear Hall of Fame player and one of the best tight ends ever.

But the thing that really brings him down is he was always a high volume player moreso than a high efficiency one. His teams threw to him like crazy, so naturally he got a crap ton of yardage.

Breaking it down by Yards Per Target:

Gronkowski - 9.7
Kelce - 9.1
Gates - 8.1
Sharpe - 8.1
Witten - 7.6
Gonzalez - 7.5

From the ESPN report AB took the fake card to training camp, but didn't turn it in when he found out he could get into trouble and got vaccinated instead.
