I am thrilled he went to LA and not the Packers, Saints or Chiefs. Odell is all about marketing so LA was ideal for him.

IMO he would have been awful with the Pats and wrecked Mac in the process. Bill has traditionally stayed away from guys like him and for good reason. We are starting to build something here slowly. I definitely want us to get an elite receiver but no one like Odell. Would love to see us make a run at Godwin this off-season. He would be ideal for many reasons.

I don't think they are. Not with Stafford. I would put the Bucs, Cards and Packers over them.

Vegas didnt, mostly because the NFL is not a madden video game. Things have to mesh. Chemistry, etc, especially for receivers. I cannot remember too many mid season receiver moves that were all that wonderful. I think its a step up a bit but it really depends on a lot of things.

Stafford may not be the best QB, but the Rams D is the best in the NFC. He's more than capable of riding that D to a title.

Lamar has been doing this all year.
Playing blah for 2 or 3 quarters. Later in the game, he gets hot. Gets a couple TDs and comes from behind for a thrilling last minute win. Thus, strengthening his case for MVP even though his mediocre play is a big reason why his team is behind in the first place.

Stafford also played with Megatron for his whole career. Before Tampa, the only wide receiver Brady had at that caliber was Moss for a year.

Just my $.02:

The talent has always been there with him. The question has always been the "why" of his inability to make that Lions team better. We saw the same thing going on with Drew Brees, in that we'd ask ourselves why such a supposedly great QB was having so many mediocre seasons (5 sub .500 seasons in New Orleans). Stafford is no Drew Brees, but he's a significant upgrade over Goff, and that L.A. team's loaded with talent around the QB. I still don't have the answer to the "why" of Stafford, but I can see his talent, and I can see that, now that he's on a better team, he's having the best season of his career, at age 33.

But, it's also fair to note, and acknowledge to the doubters that, so far this year, the only really good win the Rams have had is the one against the Bucs, and I was calling that a scheduled loss for the Bucs long before the game was played, so I really can't point to any game this year as proof that L.A. Stafford's solved the losing problem.

The "IT" factor is hard to quantify. On my daughter's varsity soccer team there are 2 players - one is a forward, the other is an up mid-fielder. The mid fielder can beat anyone off the dribble, has a gorgeous shot from outside the box. Skill wise - she's the best. The forward is a smaller girl who also is very good off the dribble and has a decent shot but her vision and ability to make the right pass in the box elevates the entire team as pretty much every scoring op they have is a result of her movement, passing, vision. I find it fascinating as everyone on the field feels better when the forward is on the field vs the high talented mid-fielder.

Stafford is a guy that just can't seem to raise his game in high stakes moments. He never appears nervous to me but just unable to slow the game enough to make the right decision. His two picks vs the Titans were classic Stafford IMO which is why I don't trust him even with this talented team. That being said, I think McVay is the best coach in the game so if anyone can get Stafford to settle and be THAT guy it is him. It is going to be tough as they are most likely looking at being the WC like Tampa was last year which means 4 road games and of course the fans will be in full force this year. I actually like Stafford and am not rooting against him by any means. My first choice for a team to make it out of the NFC if it's not Tampa is the Rams because I really like McVay and also Donald.
