Nick Chubb test positive for COVID

K, your comment that you are VERY pro-vax but anti-mandate confuses me. I can't seem to square the two views.

Why not? I think everyone should get vaccinated. I don’t think the government should be able to mandate everyone get vaccinated against a virus with a sub-2% mortality rate. On the same token, I think a woman should have a right to choose if she wants to abort a baby. I don’t think the government should be able to tell her whether she can or cannot. Pretty simple, actually. What I don’t get is where Progressives went from being pro-choice on one hand to pro-mandate on the other hand.

You can't dismiss the FACT that the unvaccinated are MANY times more likely to catch the virus and spread it, than the unvaccinated. So how do you hope to end this madness when you would allow the unvaccinated to freely roam throughout our private and public domains.

1) Do you have a documented post where you were critical of hippies when they weren’t vaccinating their kids against viruses like Measles just a few years ago? Let’s see it.

2) One’s health choices are their choices. If you’re vaccinated, and what you’re saying is correct (it is), then why do you care if someone who is unvaccinated is around you? And don’t give me the mUtAtIoN ********. When viruses mutate, they become less lethal. This is because there are only so many hosts left between those with natural antibodies and those who are vaccinated. I.E., herd immunity.

3) The rest of the world lags… BADLY… in vaccination rates. With that being the case, what we do or do not do here doesn’t make one bit of difference. If your counter argument is mutation, it’s going to mutate anyway. If your counter argument is public health, it fails because you’re not accounting for the fact that many have already been infected and have natural antibodies while more than half the country is already vaccinated.

There is no need for a mandate here outside of handing more of your freedoms over to the government in order to make yourself feel more secure.

K, business have both the right AND obligation to demand their employees to be vaccinated in the workplace. The same goes for government entities. Mandates have been effectively used throughout our history. I don't understand your pissiness about them now. While individual rights are important, they CAN'T supersede the health of the greater body of society. And individuals who lives in a SOCIETY have both rights AND obligations. A Society's obligations during a pandemic SHOULD supersede and individual's right not to protect the body by NOT getting vaccinated. I don't see the issue here. This SHOULD never have even been an issue, EXCEPT for politics, and that is sad.

Quick - name all of the viruses that had a sub-2% mortality rate in which a mandate happened. Bonus points if you can name one that took place when the country was not at war.

how about those that had Covid and have natural immunity and do not want to risk getting the vaccine?
Well, then you would be talking actual science. We don’t talk actual science around here. We talk “the” science. Any time someone puts “the” in front of “science,” they - 1) don’t have a clue about science, and 2) will cherry pick whatever scientific evidence supports their pre-conceived conclusions.

He has to test negative twice in 2 days....guessing he tested negative this morning.....so one more test to go.

The Browns reporter said all three RBs in COVID protocol tested positive today. I think it would be pretty surprising to test positive on a Tuesday and have the virus out of your system in a day. Then again, I'm sure these NFL players get the best medical treatment compared to the average joe who would've had to wait 10-14 days before they are deemed safe to return to work.

Thanks! The other poster said, "Chubb may play" and I GUESSED that meant he had a false positive yesterday and a negative today....

Again, I was GUESSING...sorry!

Go to the Mo Chanel corner and don’t return to this thread until you have sourced info.

They are reported by a government agency that has been documented as under-reporting the actual numbers. They even arrested a woman in June because she had the audacity to report the real numbers. So Florida. One screwed up state.
screwed up state that is doing quite well, and Gov hasn't limited people's freedoms.

latest source to say OBJ coming to NE

Loading up on new RBs. May just be preparing for the worst…or may be expecting that all of the COVID positive guys will be out.

You are aware that the CDC’s reporting is completely separate from the state’s, and that the numbers I am going off of are from the CDC - yes? You are also aware that what you’re describing happened around a year and a half ago as well - yes? As for being a screwed up state? You might think so if you’re an authoritarian. If you’re a libertarian and love being able to make your own choices, it’s great here. 4th largest economy in the US by GDP and growing as well.

I’d be surprised if Chubb didn’t play. The NFL already proved with Rodgers that their protocol is BS, and meant merely as a form of corporate virtue signaling.

There is literally no way of knowing whether Chubb and the other COVID players are going to play. Even if they already have one negative test today, there is no guarantee that won't be positive again tomorrow and it was a false negative today.

If I was to guess, Chubb won't play. Everyone I know (and I know this anecdotal) who tested positive for COVID usually tested positive a week later or longer even if they showed no symptoms. If you get COVID, you can test positive for weeks even if you don't have symptoms.

anectdotal, yes. Brother in laws family tested positive having symptoms then tested negative(PCR) 6 days later.

No Covid for this guy. Bronchitis. Gotta say, I was a bit disappointed. I was just at a super spreader event, otherwise known as a wedding, on Saturday and I would have loved to have blasted some people with fresh particles. My mommy and daddy always taught me that sharing is caring. But alas, it was not to be. Mission failed. We’ll get ‘em next time.

And the 39th by GDP per capita

#1 in wackos per capita though

Six days would put Chubb out of the game.

But people without symptom may get their first test at the tail end of the illness. Question is where are Chubb and other players in their COVID process.

you keep bringing up the mortality rate like there is some sort of bench mark that needs to be applied here. There isnt. The fact that so many people have died when they didnt have to is the crime here.

The point is simple, with the vaccine in play, the likely hood of someone with a break thru infection requiring intensive medical care is basically eliminated. The system cannot handle the surge in patients that comes with covid, as we have seen it over and over. Its one of the biggest concerns regarding this particular virus.

Its why states that have had dramatic surges in the virus had to start rationing health care ... making triage decisions that could have easily been avoided... the us health care system is not built to address that type of unrelenting assault on resources that covid induced.

In economics, per capita doesn’t mean jack ****. We contribute the 4th most for the US economy. Bigger is better. Don’t let your wife tell you otherwise.
