Looks alot more doable now that this is looking like a 9-10 win season. I believe hed need to average 9.5 wins per year over 4 more years after this one. If he can coach that long i think he’ll get it

he's about 43 wins away, which is doable in 4 more seasons. Let's say the Pats win at worst 5 more wins this year. Bill would be 38 wins away, which is possible with even 4-5 more seasons with 8-9 wins.

Agree Patsy, with us getting to possibly 10 or even 11 wins this year, the only way I don't see BB going past Shula is he get's sick and is unable to coach any longer....hopefully that doesn't happen.

I just hope Bill breaks his superbowl record.

I think all the negative media towards him earlier this year and after Brady’s success last year will turn into a positive for us! And yes beyond the desire to coach 4-5 more seasons health is important

I'm listing numbers based on actual stats, not made up crap. You on the other hand have called me a moron and Ahole for no apparent reason. It's truly sad how pathetically weak you come across, triggered by #s on a football forum. Grow up.

Trolling this forum by claiming Belichick is a losing coach when the thread is about him breaking the all time wins record is what is truly pathetic. He already holds the records for most SB wins and Conference championships. You are only here to talk sh.t, which is why you are getting sh.t right back at you. If you can’t take it when your trolling gets called out then you should go troll somewhere else. Have a good day snowflake.

At the current 0.462% win rate he'll now need 93 games to catch Shula. That puts him at 75 years old. I still don't see it.

Moronic to assume that the current win rate will not get higher over the next several years. If Belichick doesn't reach Shula's mark, are you going to remind us that he couldn't do it without Tommy?

Belichick has the highest winning % of any coach with more than 150 wins .686 (304-139), the most Lombardi’s 6, and the most conference championships 9. Those are the real numbers, not the cherry picked ones,

Why are you upset Venecol? You aren’t here to have an honest discussion, and that’s clear from your posts, you are only here to try and piss people off by making bullish.t arguments. So this was a win for you, as you succeeded in pissing me off. Congratulations troll.

I have to admit, it's been very quiet and nice the past few weeks with us getting on a roll....I for one, do not miss the trolls!!!!!!

It's nice to see most of the posts being made by good posters.

I am not sure he will coach that long. I am not sure he cares either.

He's 44 regular season wins away from the record. Counting playoffs he's 28 wins away. So right now I'd guess no for the regular season one.

A 9-8 season this year will close that gap to 40 wins for the regular season record and 24 for the one including playoffs. To beat the record he'd have to coach 4 more years after this season to an average of 10-7 per season. If Mac takes the second year leap that pace is achievable but that means Bill is still coaching at the end of 2025 and I don't think he will be.

The 24 game gap for the record including playoffs is more doable but again it depends how long he wants to go. I also think if the Patriots somehow win a SB in the next couple of years he'll call it a wrap record or not.

38 wins is 2 undefeateds and 4 of this year's games. That probably gives us a game or two cushion for the Undefeateds. Only 1 team, and it'll be for all time, went 16-0 in the regular season. You don't think Bill wants somebody else getting to 17-0 first?

Actually Bill would take 9-8 with a ring at the end over 17-0, and God bless him for it!

So Bill has been coaching for 30+ years and has a total of zero ties? That's a fun fact.

At this rate? No chance.

Unless there's an unforeseen change on the team that catapults them back to 11+ wins a year - I don't think he will stick around long enough to get it.
I agree. He would definitely like to break the record. But how long will Mayo be left waiting in the wings with the promise he’s heir apparent before another franchise offers him a head coaching slot?

That’s the big variable. The Krafts are firmly wedded to the notion that Mayo is the head coach after Belichick. And they aren’t goi g to let Belichick go all Marv Levy on the franchise.

It’s bad enough he’s engaged in nepotism and screwed the pooch with the draft.
