OT: Official 2021 Tompa Bay Gronkaneers Thread

Up 32 at the half only ties for the fourth-largest halftime lead for Tom Brady. It isn't even his biggest halftime lead against the Bears ... Patriots were up 45-0 on Titans in a 2009 game, up 42-7 on Dolphins in 2011, up 33-0 on Bears in 2010.

It’s a final in Tampa: Bucs 38, Bears 3, putting Tampa Bay at 6-1 for the first time in franchise history.

Brady's only been with the Bucs for about a season and a half, yet it seems as if he already owns more Bucs team records than any other QB they've had in their history.

Bruce Arians, while enjoying a great overall team win against the Bears, said his offense left about 20 points on the field -- this is a team that hasn't played to its potential yet, even in a 35-point win.

I bet he really wants to double Montana’s championships. And I guess pass Otto Graham in championships as if any of his are even close to a Super Bowl win.

Graham won four AAFC Championships and three NFL Championships.

ESPN’s QBR rating gives Brady a 93.1, which is easily his highest of the year and apparently 20 point higher than the Falcons game. I guess it factors in strength of defense? Seems like it’s so random…he was good today, but he didn’t seem any better than normal. And the run game opened up the passing game most of the time.

From the old points>yards deal, Tom Brady's 211 passing yards today are his lowest total since ... he threw for 201 in a 31-9 victory over the Chiefs in the Super Bowl.

Will Brady be a Buccaneers legend as well?

That was a 35 point beating that should have been a 49 point beating. Missed throws, couple drops, bucs should have had 50+ on them.

By the end of the season, he should be 2nd on their TD pass list and I doubt he will pass Winston (121). I would say at worst he will retire tied with Brad Johnson as the greatest Bucs QB ever, but I would think that most people would acknowledge Brady as the GOAT Bucs QB after next season. He is the greatest Bucs ever with another Superbowl win imo

Bears defense is pretty good against the pass. Greenbay had trouble against them

Well 121 is reachable the way he's slinging it. 40 TDs last season and 21 so far this year he should be around the 80-90 range which would mean he would just need 30 or so next season.

Lol…dude, Brady is already the Bucs best QB ever. Brad Johnson? Gtfo. He doesn’t even need to play another game to be #1 out of that pitiful group of QBs.

I think its debatable, I dont consider Moss the greatest Patriots WR ever even though his name is greater than any other Pats WR

That’s fine, though there are other Patriots receivers deserving of great accolades on their own. Brad Johnson, Jameis Winston, Vinny Testaverde, etc. are all punchlines. I realize that 1.5 seasons is normally a longevity issue, but these other guys have much less of claim fo being “best QB” due to being below average overall players.

I think I remember Johnson more fondly than others I guess.

The game was over at halftime, and the teams played accordingly.
