JC Jackson thinks Pats secondary can match with any receivers in the NFL

Agree completely. And finding the unit leaders is one of the big challenges for this team over the next year or two. They have some in place, but there is still plenty of work to do.
I mean we'll see if it actually works but it's a good sign that he's at least trying. Jackson is a really good corner, tough, aggressive, physical, covers well, and doesn't get rattled easily. if he can also be a leader on the sidelines we might have his role locked in for a few years.

The rain was a factor. Pats defense played well enough. But to me the bigger factor was just being a weird game for Brady and for both teams. I don't think any player on that field experienced anything like that before with that kind of emotion and a playoff like atmosphere in a non conference week 4 game. Maybe Brady was pressing a bit. There's a reason why - when he had all the reason in the world to say the opposite - he said afterward that the Patriots were his least favorite team to beat. That says it all to me.

The Pats were drained from it too. They weren't prepared for the next one and it showed.

I don't think we'll ever see a game like that ever again. That was one for the books. Glad it's done.
I don't know that the Pats were drained from it. I'd say the whole thing weighed heavier on Brady than the whole Pats team combined. It affected his performance for sure. Just the stadium itself, hearing the fans, seeing the uniforms, so many of his brothers... I mean if I were him I'd have been grateful for the rain hiding my tears the whole game. I'd likely have broken down at some point. He's tougher than that, of course, but still human, and it absolutely affected his performance.

Like the confidence... but don't just run your mouth about it, prove it. Starting this Sunday.
You’re trying to sound tough with that. He’s not a coach. He’s good, I don’t mind this.

Not sure what that means but I like my team to prove themselves on the field a lot more than how loud they talk off of it.

We’re the BoOgEymEn!11! How did that turn out?

Lol I just hope he’s seeing stuff in practice that we don’t.

what we don’t see as fans is just as imp as what we do see

The Boogeymen thing turned out badly because the offense turned into the worst offense in the NFL.

The Boogermen got destroyed by Lamar Jackson.

And the D couldn't couldn't stop the run or get off the field on 3rd down.

If the offense were able to score 20+ consistently toward the end of 2019, the defensive efforts would have been looked at much differently (the Titans playoff loss is the best example). The only game I can think of down that stretch which we lost because of defense was the Miami regular season closer and that was almost entirely on Gilmore.
