Christian Barmore the most double-teamed DT in the NFL?

At least that's according to what this chart says, which is from the NFL's own NextGenStats:

Why is he the only patriot listed?

Hargrave having a year.

Donald puts up edge type #'s while being doubled teamed as much as anyone.

Williams & McDowell making solid strides.

Tillery is approaching bust level. Thank gods he's not a Pat or he'd have to listen to Captain call him Hillary

If Washington could cover anyone their defense might be special. Soft coverage kills pass rush.

Poona Ford has made a name for himself in defensive circles.

What's really encouraging about Barmore is he's still so raw in terms of technique but his movements just stand out. He just makes it happen no matter if his footwork is point or w/e the case may be. Get him a running mate and continue to build that IDL.

Bingo. The kid looks extremely raw in basically every regard, and yet he's still producing and working his ass off. He shouldn't be producing at the level he is given how raw he is, and yet he is, which, as you said, is pretty remarkable.

Once Barmore gets some polish physically, mentally, and gains some experience/footing (literally and figuratively), this dude is going to be scary good. We have a really, really good future at the interior of the DL for many years to come (assuming health).

He's been our best rookie so far given play on the field. Mac's a lot more valuable and playing well but Barmore has impressed me a little more. Close either way if you take away Mac's importance and just look at each on the field.

Judon & Barmore could be quite the pair next year. I really want to grab one of these monsters coming out. Either inside or outside and build this DL back up into a problem.

2021 - see what we have

2022 - light FA/Draft, improve where we can and set up to spend in ...
2023 - Bill's early final form ?

Never ceases to amaze that some nerd in some obscure office compiles stats such as this.. either that or someone has way too much time on their hands.

He's (so far) put behind him the work ethic tag given he's shown growth and been given more responsibility in the defense thus far. The second year jump for him SHOULD be huge (should being operative since predicting the future is really hard).

I'm wondering if what he said about Belichick vs Saban is related to the effort issue going away as a pro. He said Belichick talks to him one on one and Saban never did, so maybe it makes him feel more motivated.

It's also early, I suppose he could just start slacking again soon after complacency kicks in.

This is a product of scheme BTW. Adam Butler was the most double teamed DT in the NFL one year.

Barmore is already playing more than him & it’s a matter of time before he plays the most snaps among the DTs on the team. Now get a legit run stuffer to pair with him.

He has been a pleasant surprise and Bill is having a hard time keeping him off the field. He really has been able to get pressure on the QB as well. Love, Love, Love his potential!!!!

Can you share a link? Really curious to read more, haven't heard this.

What DTs are catching your eye so far for the draft?

I watched Georgia one week and Jordan Davis just seemed to explode off the screen. Who else should I be watching?

Play Barmore next to Guy. Always. Bench Godchaux

As a person with... questionable motivation from time to time myself, I can say with certainty that when you're in a new situation, you're automatically more motivated. As you get more comfortable, that motivation gets harder to maintain. Barmore might be different for sure, so I'm not predicting this, just that I know anytime I've started at a new company I'm much more of a go getter than I am five years later, and anytime I move to a new home, I always keep it spotless for about three months before I start to slouch back into my usually clutter fest.
