OT: Official 2021 Tompa Bay Gronkaneers Thread

Of course but they could of taken Gronk off the field. I guess he must really be good to go after taking that shot because with all his back issues I was cringing.
He was obviously fine. NFL people get tackled. Shoudl they have taken White off the field for the pats so he didnt get hurt?

Yeah, it was close though as there was still a small chance of a comeback. But there was a sense.that the game was lost. The Bucs seemed off today, the calls weren't going their way, and the Rams were just too good.
Or they have no healthy body left in the secondary and thus giving up wide open players by 20 yards down the field. You can overcome injuries when other guys get more seasoned, but not right away. Also good teams are proud, they wanted to have a good drive and see what happens. I am sure glad Pats didnt give up against atlanta because that game seemed lost for a long time.

The stats between both teams have been pretty even. The difference was the Rams D has been able to make key stops while the Bucs D couldn’t stop a nose bleed

This Bucs team was 7-5 last year and had lost in absolutely embarrassing fashions. Somehow I think they’ll be fine.

Yeah, they were also doing their best to take out Bernard and I think they should have called unnecessary roughness when he was pushed hard out of bounds into Bruce Arians.

This was their SB. Did you see McVay all game? Good for them they were ready to roll. If they meet again and both teams are full strength it will be in Tampa with the remaining schedules and we shall see. Stafford did not look like a massive upgrade to me.

and that is really what it comes down to. Both offenses played well, Rams have a good healthy D, there is the difference in the game.

I don’t want to sound like I am making excuses because I am not but I found the referring quite one sided. Rams only got 1 penalty while I saw multiple holding, facemasks and pick plays not getting called

Bucs played ok. But the refs were allowing the Rams to get away with alot and were kinda one sided. A losing combination when playing against one of the league's best team.

You got to play your best if you want to beat the best.

I really thought this was the year we were finally going to see an undefeated team and the Bucs were the ones to make that run at 20-0. Not meant to be. I’m sure Brady is fine with taking the first loss now than later as he knows first hand.

Might have sold Stafford and the Rams short too. They’re legit.

Ha! You beat.me to it. Don't forget unnecessary roughness. The Gronk offensive interference was a had scratcher too.

Yep basically. What killed them was you can’t give a 75 yds TD pass coming out of the half down 7. Despite that Brady scored to keep the game to a one score game but right after the Bucs D allowed a sub 3 minutes 75 yds TD drive to put the game at 28-14. It’s easier for the Rams D after that

Gronk is playing next week. Lock. He’s not missing this

Yeah, sometimes its only something as simple as a dropped ball or a hold that ends a drive, and then a half and you are down 14 when you get the ball again. I mean sometimes you lose. Teams do it every year. lol. I thought the offense played pretty well against a very good rams team, but if we cannot get off the field on D, its going to be tough.

Yeah I hear you. I went to bed at halftime for that game. My wife stayed up to watch TV and checked the score beginning of 4th QB. She woke me up stating that the Pat's are making a comeback. I got up and kept on saying they need so and so TD, so and so 2 point conversion, so and so turnover, and it's amazing that it pretty much all happened.

Yeah I did watch it to the end, becuase I just wanted to see them fight. Like just not hang your head and come out and show some guts...well they ended up doing that. lol. But yeah I have for sure walked away from games before. Sometimes its very tough to watch.

Brady wasn’t the problem.
