Yea I wasn't sure about how that one would play out. The run blocking IMO was the same and Gronk helped there. The pass blocking I felt would have improved just because of Tom's quick release and ability to help the line with protection calls etc. but they exceeded my expectations in that area. What about the OL? There was concerns Tom would be killed going to a new OL. Bucs OL wasn't considered good by anyone. How did Tom get them to gel so fast?

Could have been an effort issue as well. I mean, an o-lineman will put more effort in protecting TB12 than a asshat loser like Winston.
Here’s another reference:
”Tom went to a super team.“
“Bill had a terrible roster that had no chance to be competitive.”
“The Patriots could not have won a Super Bowl in 2020, even with Brady.”
”Brady only won because of a great supporting cast.”
Let’s all acknowledge the revisionism.
I think it was pretty clear they were stacked at the time. Here are three articles from last offseason calling them a superteam:
The Buccaneers are the NFL’s new free agent super team. Can it work right away?
This might seem like desperation, but there’s far more to it.www.sbnation.comState of the Franchise: Tom Brady's Bucs have sights set on Lombardi
With Tom Brady leading the charge and a solid defense intact, Adam Rank says there's only one thing that would make the Buccaneers' season successful: a Lombardi Trophy. In this edition of the State of the Franchise series, Rank dives into what lies aheadwww.nfl.comHow the Bucs Built the Team Tom Brady Wanted
The stars aligned in Tampa Bay for Tom Brady, but it's a team years in the making.www.si.com
The main question at the time was whether they would gel in time during a shortened offseason. Thats where they proved everybody wrong.
From an X's and O standpoint I agree. But there is no way Bill would have success coaching all those alpha males. Suh, JPP, Barrett, Evans would tell him to shove The Patriot Way up his rear end.I thought they'd be a playoff team too I will say this to Belichick defense even though I'm more of the player>coach side, if Belichick had this roster with Brady leading it they'd be millions times better. Bucs are super un disciplined and commit a lot of unforced turnovers

I mean he did handle that 07 squad I think he'd be greatFrom an X's and O standpoint I agree. But there is no way Bill would have success coaching all those alpha males. Suh, JPP, Barrett, Evans would tell him to shove The Patriot Way up his rear end.

Maybe back in 2007 sure but not today. There is a reason he has not tried to build that type of roster again and also said years ago that he only wants to coach players he likes.I mean he did handle that 07 squad I think he'd be great
A ridiculous statement. From an X's and O standpoint I agree. But there is no way Bill would have success coaching all those alpha males. Suh, JPP, Barrett, Evans would tell him to shove The Patriot Way up his rear end.
I am just going by what Bill said himself years ago that he only wants to coach players he likes.A ridiculous statement.
WTF do you think he is doing now?

Lol. You can be Bill's psychologist if you want. Lots of luck. What Bill says isn't necessarily what he means.
The word "Like" requires definition.

When Bill says, "Like"...do you really thinks he means he'd have a player who sucks on the roster just so he can play cribbage with?Lol. You can be Bill's psychologist if you want. Lots of luck.
Deus....No point debating the Bucs fans...you hardly see AMfootball, Deus, Carmelo, etc. on the main board. They are here for one person only - Brady.
LOL. Of course not. But it is no secret that Bill likes high football IQ guys where football is the center of their life. In other words, he does not want divas who have big personas outside of football. I mean there is a reason our team is mostly comprised of mid-tier players - they are coachable and cheap. Bill would never in a million years do what Tampa just did and pay second and third contracts to pass rushers and outside receivers. That is why the notion of him coaching Tampa is laughable. He would never put together nor pay for that roster. When Bill says, "Like"...do you really thinks he means he'd have a player who sucks on the roster just so he can play cribbage with?
You are not comprehending him. I think it's Bill's fault you don't get it.
Bill "likes" guys who help him win.LOL. Of course not. But it is no secret that Bill likes high football IQ guys where football is the center of their life.
