Red Zone Problems on Offense for 3 Straight Years

Of course. Nobody is perfect and McD has his flaws, two of which IMO is love of the spread and getting away from running games that are working or abandoning too early running games getting stuffed. That said two people I respect a ton BB and TB12 think he is one of the best in the business and I recognize there might be more going on with any play calling then my sideline fan coach knows about. These are men who spend 80-100 hours a week going over plays and formations and coming up with plans. I have no doubt that they know more then I do and without the level of information and data they have it would be poor form for me to judge. I also don’t have specific things I would do different just general feelings so I read what others have to say and put in my 2 cents when I don’t understand something. Not that you need an NFL PhD to make a comment I just feel without specific things backed by a specific play you are wasting everyone’s time and that guy does it at least 100 times a day.
I just think some of his stuff was too predictable. Watching Brady now light up the sky with deep passing, where was this? Do we always have to run 2nd and 10? I meam really, every 2nd and 10 we have to run? Is it like a rule?

Yeah Byron Leftwich is a real offensive genius. Hottest HC candidate out there

Gee what happened three years ago?

No Gronk!!!

He and Brady are about to break the TD pass record, if you remove Gronk, your red zone is going to suffer, then you remove Brady and it will tank!

Not to jump on sides here because I have no dog in the fight, but do you not have any issue with McDaniels play calling the last few years? I sure have. When I can start predicting the plays then you are not doing something right as a playcaller. It got too predictable, and teams picked up on it as well.

There is a big difference between criticizing some play calling and claiming the guy is total dog sh.t in a hundred posts a day 365 days a year. And play calling is also related to the talent available and the defense you are playing, so it can’t always be what we as fans might want. As an example of this there is now some clamoring on this board to open the offense up, and MacDaniels will get the heat if they don’t, but you can only do so with good pass protection, and receivers who can get open, and so far we have seen no evidence of that. I think Belichick sees this much as he did Brady’s early years, run the ball, play good defense, and use that and special teams to win field position and close games, opening up the offense comes when you are ready and able to so, and the offense will always seem simple and obvious until you reach that point.

Lol Leftwich is along for the ride. Brady was waving off whatever his play call was the other day.

:)

The Bucs offense looks very creative. Really good play calls. Keeps the defense on its toes. Byron Leftwich is blowing the scoring records out of the water at this pace.

It's not good for the Pats offense when from your couch you know what the play is based on the formation and personnel.

Interesting numbers:

It's not good for the Pats offense when from your couch you know what the play is based on the formation and personnel.
It's also not good when your snobby QB whose ego is very precious must select certain players over the others he ignores, to run said plays.

Pre-Giselle, Brady was not doing that. He was running the offense and hitting the open guy. Now, he's so concerned with stats by his younger buddies who play in 10 fantasy leagues convinced him he was doing it all wrong.

You don't seem to get that Brady's Diva issues, pretending he had to have All Pro WRs 1-5 and All Pro TEs, is what the problem was. His ego told him he was so great, he's entitled to that.

There is a salary cap. You can't have sustainable teams for decades that are playoff contenders by procuring All Star offensive players. You can do it for a year like Denver did in 2015 on defense, but look what happened to them.

No one GM fielded more competitive teams over 20 years than Bill Belichick. And no one coach fielded better teams than him overall. This isn't a video game like you and others think it is. Try learning the sport first.

He couldn’t do that in NE due to personnel.

One former player said Bill didn’t do a good job surrounding Tom with enough talent on offense and they could’ve won more had he done so. He said 2007 was a preview of what could’ve been.

Who is that former player?

Wow calling Brady snobby with a big ego and also blaming Giselle.

You are a grade-A psycho.

NewEra posts a little too personally. Sorry buddy but no amount of trashing Brady or Giselle is going to mask that skippy mcD has been bad since Brady left in 2019, red zone issues, and also failed in Denver and also St Louis without Tommy. Keep making up excuses in your head and blame it all on the 7-time champion QB who basically made mcD's entire career for 15 years.

This is a truly NEM level of just not understanding how football works.

There is absolutely no question belichick could have spent more resources to make Brady’s life easier. There is also no question that the goal is to build a complete football team and had he done that, he would not have won as much.

When andy chimes in the other side, I know I'm on the right track. Thank you very much.

Pretty much everything you post is either wrong, confused, or lacks understanding.
Yesterday you were wrong about shotgun and I proved that. Today, you make an uninformed comment and come back with this silliness.

There were plenty of talented offensive players Bill passed on and took duds on D that weren't needed between 2013-2019 or just flat out took the wrong offensive player.

There were playoff loses starting in 2010 due to their offense plateauing and getting exposed by good defenses.

Truth hurts, doesn't it? Have you been to their mansion in LA with the moat around it? Have you been asleep since he met and married her? The hair plugs, the TB12 brand obsession, her encouraging him to go on Facebook like some old lady would do, his passive-aggressive behaviors in recent years. The Facebook doc, making it about himself, etc.

What a loser. He destroyed what made him.

Pats fans being honest reacting to his antics is a lot more genuine than him and his disingenuous Fanboys all over these interwebs.
