Anyone else stoked for the matchup against Brady and the Bucs?

it met the definition intentional grounding...i don’t know what to tell you
I have never seen it called, ever again. I have never seen a QB over throw his wideout and it be called intentional grounding. I have seen Receivers cut off their routes and the QB think they are going deep and throw it 40 yards over their heads. I have seen QB's throw it up in the stands. So again, why was it called there and not other times?

All I know is this:

It's an offensive league and primadonna Brady underperformed in both SBs, wasting time all game long with no balance in that shotgun, with too many 3 and outs, at least 1 INT that was usually awful, and never helped his D in an offensive league.

That D was averaging 2 turnovers a game all year, giving him extra drives he ended up doing nothing with in postseasons because he wasn't facing a zone D or a crap D in those postseasons.

FAIL
He won 6 titles with patriots....lol. Only 2 QB's won 4. He has 5 superbowl mvp's. You need some Brady ptsd help.

Would be funn

Only partially true. Orr's knees were done for. Orr had no reason to leave other than Boston had to walk because he was cooked. Orr never was disrespectful showing up teammates during a game nor did he put himself above the team. Ever.

No Boston legend did what Brady has done. He's a selfish oligarch narcissist.
Orr's knees are one of the major reasons he left. He was finished. The Bruins underpaid him for years. Why not get some cash. Orr had reasons.

So you were ok with Orr leaving to get money, but not ok that Brady left when they offered him a salary along the lines of a 2nd string QB? Interesting.

Completely different situation.

THEN: You morons think you’re smarter than Bill?! Of course this is the right move. Bill wouldn’t move on if he didn’t think Brady is done. You guys know nothing.

NOW: Well, it’s easy to say in hindsight we should have kept Brady. Can’t blame Bill when no one could have possibly predicted this.

newsflash: NFL refereeing is inconsistent

Well yeah, but not once? I watch quite a few games in the last 10 years since then. I mean if you do not call something you cant just decide to do it in the superbowl. What the hell is this the eagles pats superbowl?

Yep it changes daily. My new favorite is all this time I thought Brady was a good postseason QB, now I find out different.

Sort of, they ended up winning a title down the line, but it was never again the same as it was with Montana there.
it will never be the same here too. 20 yrs of dominance hasnt happened in the NFL.

AB was ushered out by Goodell and cheating owners. AB is still guilty of sexual assault. Just because he pays the woman off, doesn't mean he's innocent.
AB mentioned that he and Bob were not that much different because both guys like happy endings.

Honest Bob did not like it.

Stoked isn't the word.

It's a game that's going to be over-hyped and shoved down everyone's throat. The silver lining in all this madness is - Mac Jones gets thrown into the Lions Den pretty early on. The amount of pressure the kid is going to be feeling for a week 4 game is going to Insanely high considering how early on it is in the season and his career.

Regardless if we win or lose- if Mac can go into the game and execute the game plan with minimal mistakes - we should be happy.

As far as the defense is concerned..I'd feel way better if Gilmore was playing. Only thing I can add as a positive is Patriots have been penetrating the backfield very well and Barmore flashes as a disruptor up the middle..we have SOME of the pieces of what it takes to rattle Brady.

If we are going to get a W it's going to take one of those legendary all hands on deck with a little luck sprinkled type of efforts we haven't seen in awhile.

100% This.

I will always love what Brady did for this team and I have enjoyed watching him still kicking serious ass in Tampa.

But this is about week 4 and he's the enemy. This is the week they unleash the Mac Attack baby. Let's go!

BB will come up with something. Hopefully it will work.

Win or lose I just want to see Mac continue to grow. He's been doing a great job thus far. He's been really impressive for a rookie. That's all I can ask for.

24-21 Pats. Brady hugs BB in the middle of the field.

There was nothing wrong with the roster in 2019 outside of TE but they even brought back old friend Ben Watson to appease Brady. He was set up with short fields constantly with great STs and a D that was by far and away the best in the league with the DOPY in Gilmore. I've never seen such short fields for a Pats offense. A good OL and run game also should have helped him. They just won a SB a year earlier with everyone on that roster save for Gronk (a shell of himself), Dorsett and Hogan.

Maybe if the fontleroy showed up to OTAs and met his new receivers, things would have been different.

It's absolutely not going to be a long time. They have good pieces.
The 2018 offensive weapons were fading and they only got worse in 2019.

In 2019, Brady had White and Edelman and the rest stray cats and misfits. The situation was so bad that NE had to make a deal with the devil and bring AB on board.

Despite Butler's benching, Brady fumbled the ball with the game on the line...

I really enjoy stupid posts. I often wonder if the poster recognizes the stupidity but this time I don't because UVA is going to UVA.

Bobby Orr had reasons to leave. Larry Bird played his entire career with the Celtics. Ted Williams played his entire career with the Red Sox. Bill Russell played his entire career with the Celtics. F Brady.
I don't disagree..there's no way I can prove this now current day because BB and Brady are still active..however...I am very much Team over everything.

If Mac can walk out of that game saying I went toe to toe with the goat in the house he built..it will do wonders.

Win or lose.

The 2019 team got to 12 wins almost entirely because of the defense during the first half of the season. The dynasty doesn't happen without Brady, I agree. But he's getting way too much credit after last year. Tampa could have won with any one of the top 10 QB's in the league.

I'll bet that you couldn't name five QBs that could have possibly gone to a new team, new system, during a Covid restricted season and won a Superbowl.

I can only name one. Tom F'ing Brady.

Yes he is that good.
