ManLove-itis is like Covid, it affects everyone differently. He’s depressed because he found out that Brady gives no f*cks about Pats fans who have remained faithful to (ie. obsessed with) him and post more in a Tompa thread than they do in any Patriots threads.
I lost mine in 1981 when Fred Lynn went to the Angels and Carlton Fisk to the White Sox.ManLove-itis is like Covid, it affects everyone differently.
For me, I outgrew athlete-worship when I hit puberty.
The Great Sell-off of 1994…. We were headed to the World Series. Then, unlike in the early 90s, none of the trades worked out. There was only Pedro & Moises Alou left…I lost mine in 1981 when Fred Lynn went to the Angels and Carlton Fisk to the White Sox.
The bitterness is deep here. He’s depressed because he found out that Brady gives no f*cks about Pats fans who have remained faithful to (ie. obsessed with) him and post more in a Tompa thread than they do in any Patriots threads.
The Expos team was loaded. Such a shame. The Great Sell-off of 1994…. We were headed to the World Series. Then, unlike in the early 90s, none of the trades worked out. There was only Pedro & Moises Alou left…
This board surprises me. I’d have thought adults would choose to follow the team rather than one man.
Um, you do realize that you post daily on a Pats football forum?ManLove-itis is like Covid, it affects everyone differently.

They were peaking and - at that time - the second half + playoff money would have been necessary. The Expos team was loaded.
Such a shame
Lol. True dat for most of us.Um, you do realize that you post daily on a Pats football forum?
We all follow sports because we get something from it. I don't follow the team or a player because I think they owe me something personally. I follow because I love their game and watching excellence every week. I never hate players when they leave for this reason because it was never personal to begin with. I have rooted for a ton of ex Pats players when they have left because I loved their game and watching them perform.Lol. True dat for most of us.
Although for most of us it's more team-love as opposed to man-love.
That and we have a serious issue....

Why do you care? You can’t be this dumb, can you? We post here because we are Patriots fans posting on Patriots fans website in threads about the current Patrots team.
You, among a few others here, still post on a daily basis in a thread dedicated to the new team of a star ex-player who last threw a pass/pick 6 for the Patiots in January 2020 and who quickly put playing here in his rearview mirror, once he began to experience the sun and the superior Botox quality in Florida. If you can’t recognize the difference, you are as hopeless as Deus.
Tommy has clearly moved on, and then some, you really should as well.
I don't think there is anything wrong being a Patriots fan and a Brady fan. Brady took pay cuts for this team. Brady gave 20 years to this team. Brady brought 6 championships to this team. Who by all indications would have stayed here if offered a below market contract. Yet it wasn't offered. I am not convinced we win a single one without him. Or maybe just one, due the law of averages, assuming BB would have been here that long. He isn't just a star ex player. He is the GOAT. That is something different entirely. Also the knocks on botox and the pick 6 aren't really needed. You can’t be this dumb, can you? We post here because we are Patriots fans posting on Patriots fans website in threads about the current Patrots team.

I mentioned this to my doctor........so he asked me a series of questions before offering his diagnosis...Um, you do realize that you post daily on a Pats football forum?
THIS.As far as I'm concerned, the question we should be asking isn't why people here are cheering for him. It is why people here aren't.
My final thought is this. If you don't cheer for him now, then don't bother doing it when he retires and signs a 1 day deal with the Patriots to go into the HOF that way. That to me would be a hypocritical move. Since pass accomplishments don't matter, why the hell would you cheer for a guy who signed with the team and got cut after 1 day?
That's a pretty strong group!!!
