He’d spent a ton of money on her painting after she claimed she was a poor, starving artist…and then she went to a reporter to pile on him by revealing he made a pass at her - in his own house - while wearing a towel only.

This might be the most tame thing a player has ever done to get released by a team. It was handBOB’s excuse to try to recoup his sticky nickels and collude with Red Rug.

The actual problem was the negative PR caused by Brown’s alleged sexual assault civil complaint…which remains incredibly suspicious if you read it and consider the timing. Brown got that dropped on him after joining the Patriots and a very PR sensitive handBOB. The problem was the league and Patriots were in CBA negotiations and would have to set a new precedent since Brown had no criminal charges against him. handBOB then released him as soon as he could find a reason, no matter how weak.
