I mean a lot of it is corporate grab ass but it really seems that Brady and Goodell are in a pretty cordial relationship now. Honestly I think Brady actually holds more of grudge over Belichick going “go ask Tom about the balls” and we know for a fact from the released emails that Brady’s friend outright told him that Belichick just threw him under the bus and dropped the whole mess in his lap. He definitely wasn’t happy with Kraft either after his whole Best Thing for the 32 stuff but behind the scenes I think Kraft really tried for a long time to repair that relationship and I don’t think there was any ill will by the victory over Atlanta.

This fits into my belief that Tom was sick of the crap that goes along with playing for the Patriots. None of it happens to any other pro sports team. Twenty years of seeing teammates go off to other cities and be free...yes, not winning but free to play and live away from all the crap.

Now, Belichick is Belichick and there's plenty to support that he didn't have anyone to throw to. Kraft...his tone deafness to the uniforms goes hand in hand with his complete agreement and endorsement of the 'laughingstock' propaganda of the team prior to his purchase. "Yep, we sucked." Even though we did not. The 60's, 70's and 80's teams were better than the 90's team. Coleman decides to ignore the rules in the Snow Bowl and Troy Brown's career is ended in the 2003 preseason and you've got zero titles today.

Curious how both Brady, and Kraft, and Belichick who seems cordial too, all seem to get along with Goodell.

I liked that moment. It was funny as hell. The fact that deflategate even happened exposed harbaby, Shytdell and the league for what it is. A greedy bunch of billionaire bytches and a punk ass puppet.

I'm glad that Deflategate happened because it ended with Brady shoving it right up the league's ass in dramatic fashion. A historic comeback followed by the puppet getting booed right off of the stage.

I don’t think he’ll actually come close to accomplishing what Brady has done because football is simply too unpredictable of a sport and Brady’s way of playing the position is the only way to actually have as long of a career as he has (you can’t continue to make circus sideways throws across your body into your 30s) but Mahomes is the only QB currently in the league who has the potential to actually establish himself as one of the greatest to ever play the position. He’s already shown more in 3 years as a starter than Rodgers has in 12.

if I had to guess what things will look like 10 years from now Brady will be on his own level, below him Montana will be on his own level, and below that will be Mahomes, Elway, and Peyton. You can argue about where the great QBs who primarily played in the pre Super Bowl era should rank on your own time.

Had Brady retired after winning#5, it's entirely possible that Mahomes wins 3 in a row, since Brady stopped Mahomes the other 2 years.

For QBs in the NFL, I think athleticism - specifically speed and elusiveness - almost always causes more problems than it solves. And if that isn’t true immediately, just give it some time.

it's over pal you have to be very lucky (health wise) which Brady has been lucky and obviously smart about and get to 8 and even then TB still has 2 playoff wins over you 1 in your house.

So many teams for the next several drafts are going to completely outsmart themselves and scout out QBs who meet the physical measurements of Mahomes and completely ignore what they actually did in college on the field. Which is ironic because Mahomes had great college stats with the only real knock on him being that he played in the Big 12 where there’s no defense. But now you have teams scouting guys from non power 5 conferences who put up ok stats against nobodies and thinking they’ll be the next Mahomes because they have all the tools.
