If I'm not mistaken, that all was earlier in the game which sparked their comeback. If we didn’t blow a 21-3 lead a bad call at the end of the game wouldn’t have mattered.
Funny how I posted that on the FAcy thread and it was deleted. That's a post that's 100% Patriots related yet luuked accused me of posting Brady crap so I guess it gets deleted. Weird times. Lmao
The bad call contributed to the blown lead. If Hobbs isn’t penalized, that’s 3rd and 7 from Indy’s 19 yard line instead of a 1st and goal at the 1. No guarantees of course, but they could’ve held them to a field goal and kept it at 21-16 instead of putting the Colts in position to tie the game, which they did. The Pats absolutely still controlled their destiny in the 4th and failed, but it doesn’t help when you make a big defensive play late in the game and still get penalized for it. It was a big enough call that it changed the game, and enough that the league even privately apologized to Hobbs that offseason. If we didn’t blow a 21-3 lead a bad call at the end of the game wouldn’t have mattered.
Does that surprise you, though, really? I mean, there's an anti-Brady troll, with a Brady sig, who has over 500 posts in this very thread, and he complains that too much attention is being paid to Brady on this board.Funny how I posted that on the FAcy thread and it was deleted. So the 49ers announced their intention to draft their QB of the future today after trading up for the 3rd pick. With no guaranteed money, and large cap relief plus extra pick if JG is traded, I would say the writing is on the wall that JG gets traded before his salary becomes guaranteed.
One team talked about as a trade partner is Carolina Panthers. I would hate that as I think JG would be a top 10 QB if he can stay healthy, and they would give Brady and the Bucs problems.
Another team of course would be the Patriots. The Pat's have been so aggressive in FA that I could easily see them giving a 2nd for JG and maybe a 1st.
I think the most important thing the coaches need to teach JG is to be a pocket passer so that he doesn't get hurt. Stop trying to be a Wilson or a Rodgers and be content on being more like a Brady.
I was hoping that NE would rebuild at least 1 more year, but free agency has shown that BB is serious on giving it a go this year.give up jimmy g for a bag of peanuts then get him back for 15th overall? Horrible business

You need a top 10 QB to make a serious run in the playoffs which JG might be. Cam might be 15 at best but more like 20 or lower. So BB probably doesn't have a choice but to give up the 1st if he wants JG.
we traded him for 41 overall. why Would we trade 15th overall for him?
Yeah it would show how foolish Bill was for trading Jimmy for only a 2nd round when his value was higher.Bill should be fired if he gives is #15 for Jimmy. I am fine with the second round pick. But SF already turned that down. I am not sure Jimmy can be had this year as the Niners want him there to groom the rookie they draft.
Jimmy's value was higher when he was traded for #41. He was still on his rookie deal and showed tremendous upside.Theoretically it doesn't matter what we gave up for him then. If they think he can get the job done then a first is a fair price.
But the problem for me is that I don't think he can get the job done and it would be just a wasted pick.
I don't believe that Bill's a fool so why did he trade JG for so little? At the time there were fans here who claimed that he was being stubborn because Kraft made him keep Brady instead. I don't believe that either.Yeah it would show how foolish Bill was for trading Jimmy for only a 2nd round when his value was higher.
It also shows Lynch to be a douche. Bill did them a solid sending Jimmy for so little, Lynch should return the favor.
So Jimmy on a rookie contract and showing a ton of promise is was worth less than now?I don't believe that Bill's a fool so why did he trade JG for so little? If I'm the owner of the 49ers and Lynch did Bill a solid I'd fire him.
Jimmy is worth whatever someone is willing to give up to get him and the circumstances can change. So Jimmy on a rookie contract and showing a ton of promise is was worth less than now?
No higher than 2nd for Jimmy and at this point if I'm Bill I wouldn't go higher than a 3rd.
What other team wants to trade for Jimmy, and how much leverage does the 49ers have now that they gave up a ton for a rookie QB.
That's good point. There is a risk factor with the draft. However, the huge difference is salary. When you nail a first Rd pick that's 5 years of cheap service.Jimmy is worth whatever someone is willing to give up to get him and the circumstances can change.
I don't value draft picks as much as others do. It's not like you know what you're getting as you would with established players.
