Yeah, ok. Do you know now many drafted players are involved in bar fight with other bar patrons or bouncers during their college careers? A lot, but we just don’t know about many of the incidents, bc they are often swept under the rug, for the good of the program.

He was a first round talent who fell to the 4th and Bill saw great value and probably thought that the structure of the Pats program would keep him in line. Obviously no one could predict he would go on to murder several people but one would think the team has people to investigate some of the prospects backgrounds. Not too far fetched to think one of those investigators could figure out some of the places these guys hang out (especially on a Florida team that had lots of NFL talent and players with issues). Even if they completely neglected to talk to some of the people who may have worked at the places Hernandez frequented Bill could’ve talked to Meyer who reportedly told people not to draft him. As a fellow Golden Gopher I shook my fist at passing on Tyler Johnson on draft day, did not care about tattoos, and hoped Rohrwasser could make kicks. Now that he is gone I still wish Tyler Johnson was a Patriot, hope that Rohrwasser was cut because the Kicker Whisperer thinks he can make something of Aguayo, and am confused by what Aaron Hernandez and drama queens have to do with any of it.

What is the big deal here?? Whether or not BB hides (protects) most rookies from the press?? Or whether or not Rohrwasser had the talent to succeed in the NFL??

It seems to be the latter that this kid was not as talented as they thought, so in typical BB fashion he cut him. What we do know about BB is that he is not afraid to cut his losses after a player he chose was not good enough to be a Patriot. BB could give a rat's butt about what the press & sportstalk radio pundits think... this is best for this team and frees up roster spots (believe the Pats were at 80 prior to yesterday's move).
