The last team to win a Super Bowl without a speed receiver giving legit help in the postseason was the 2016 Patriots.

Agholor
Dorsett
Hill
Miller
Yup, and that was with Brady who is the greatest ever at reading and dissecting opposing defenses and doing it for the most part without elite talent at wide receiver. Hard to count on that type of play from whoever we put under center moving forward so I’d like to see more reinforcement on offense. Even with the improvements this is still not a top of the league offense. Maybe if the defense plays like it did for the first half of 2019 we’ll be great but we’ll see.

You had Brady the GOAT at his peak.

Plus 2 top tier possession wide receivers in their primes..Edelman and Amendola

Hogan was at his peak and a deep threat all year

james white at his peak

gronk in his prime (injured) and borderline pro bowl Bennett

i don’t think any of our WRs other than Agholor compares to those guys

steep - but at least its a long term . so still valuable

6 OLs. 2 TEs. Blocking WRs.

Running is everything atm. Everything. @dikembe should be here Pom-Pom-ing for the run game.
No matter how well you run you can’t win in this league if you are incompetent in the passing game.

Other than a giant reach for Mills that’s a solid draft. Also don’t see Stokes making out of early rd 2 with the 40 he ran.
Except for the fact that most of the picks are reaches for where he has them... And what is this fascination with drafting a TE in this draft. It's not a strong one for them AND the Patriots just put a ton of money and draft capital into the position.

The G.M. has to be on the hot seat there, and some thought he might have been cut after last season. So this sort of spending to try to get Jones going as the QB doesn't surprise me.

It hasn't taken long for GM Nick Caserio to reshape his roster. Thus far, he's acquired 29 new players via free agency/trades. 1 of the 25 free agents signed was for more than two years. A look at all the players he's added to pad the depth along the roster so far:

Why is this guy not a 1st round prospect? Some of those throws were on the money in tight windows.....

And who the hell is #13? What a receiver.....
The highlight reel is gonna highlight reel. Consistency issues, and footwork problems. Even in the highlight vid, you can see him throwing while leaning backwards when there isn't a real need to. An interesting prospect that I wouldn't mind in later rounds. It seems this draft has more qbs being hyped up than ever though. Hard to tell where guys are gonna land.
