Deshaun Watson accused of sexual assault in lawsuit

What Kraft did wasn't sexual assault. There is a difference. Hell, if Kraft did it in certain parts of Nevada and it would have been 100% legal.
Obviously my post was a poor attempt at humor, but since you want to defend his behavior... we don't know exactly what Kraft did because the video evidence was suppressed, but he spent a lot of money to keep it hidden. Funny how he fought tooth and nail to help his own reputation after letting his QB and HC take hits for the good of the team. What % of legal is solicitation in Florida and Texas?

There are two dimensions to this whole thing that run in parallel but have drastically different implications. Some of the accusations we’ve heard from so far are Watson acting in a ridiculously inappropriate behavior that is the definition of sexual harassment where a woman would be entirely in their right to feel uncomfortable. Trying to sleeze his way into trying to coerce a woman there to give him a massage into giving him a *. It’s gross, it’s wrong, and if true he deserves to be held accountable and be punished. BUT I would argue he does not deserve to lose his career over it or any of his long term earning potential.

Separately however we have at least one detailed accusation that Watson forcibly made a woman perform oral sex against her will as she made clear that she did not want to. This is rape. Point blank. We do not yet know if this is the only accusation of such an act being made or if another of the dozen other woman have experienced a similar situation. We have to wait and see. But if this accusation and others like it are true not only should he no longer be in the league but criminal charges must absolutely be filed.
Watson would use the he said she said defense, the same one that Jermaine Wiggins is using right now to defend him on radio.

For a guy who told us all he wasn’t going to try this in the media, he sure is doing an awful lot to get as much media attention as possible.
He's doing his job for his clients. At some point you have to wonder why more women are coming out. Do you think they're all money grabbing liars?

Maybe Watson was just looking to up his tax deductions by raising the price of the massages. As a professional athlete, they can write off any and everything they do for their bodies, so basically I think its the IRS' fault!

In all seriousness, my step daughter is a massage therapist, she is young, pretty and her mother passed on the large breast genes to her. She works in a reputable day spa (that doesn't have the word "orchids" in its name) and she says 1 in 5 guys will ask for a "full release". When it happens, she ends the session and will refuse to book them ever again. So the fact that Watson has gone through so many massage therapists, makes me think that he might be asking for 'it'.

Watson should have just called Handy Bob, I'm sure he would have set him straight.

Young, famous millionaires forcing themselves on women it makes no sense! You would think it makes no sense, until you read any NCAA recruiting violation report and realize that giving them willing women is the norm in college. And as we all know, you take what you learn in college out into the real world.

I'm not saying Watson is innocent or guilty, and I'm certainly not saying that this lawyer isn't a scumbag, I'm just saying that the request happens all the time to every massage therapist.
I'd be worried sick if my daughter was going to men's homes do give massages. Be thankful that yours isn't doing that.
Look at this case. Even though there are many women making claims against Watson, fans are jumping through hoops to defend him. I saw one poster here earlier that didn't seem to care because he was a football player.
The NCAA is as much of a cesspool as the NYFL.

I haven’t seen evidence either way so I have not yet formed an opinion.

We do know what Kraft did. The video was ruled inadmissible in court, but we have a full description of the contents therein.

Kraft paid money for a happy ending from a parlor widely known to engage in such things. If people want to judge him negatively on that so be it, but let’s not turn it into something it wasn’t.

If the Texans ask Goodell to put him on the exempt list, can teams still try to trade for him? Can a player on the list be traded?

I never claimed that Kraft committed sexual assault. What % of legal is a tug job in Florida, 50? If it was no big deal why did Kraft pay to have the video evidence suppressed?

I never said that what Kraft was accused of was legal. I am pointing out that not all crimes are the same. And just because Kraft is accused on committing an illegal consenting sexual act doesn't equate the allegations that Watson forced (or at least forced himself on) women to perform sexual acts.

Kraft has long has a history of zero tolerance with players and violence and abuse of women. The Watson allegations fall in this category rather than what Kraft was accused of.

I wasn't the one who called it sexual assault. That was @Rob0729 making that comparison and applying it to my statement.

I am not defending his behavior. If he did what he was accused of, he still broke the law. But comparing what Kraft was accused of and what Watson is accused of would be like comparing someone punching another guy in a bar fight to someone taking a baseball bat and cracking his skull open. Both are illegal, but they aren't remotely the same thing.

And we know what Kraft did. He hired a sex worker to gratify him. No matter what you think about what he did, it was consensual. He didn't pressure or force anyone to do it.

Man, it's a real good thing and super lucky too that T.B. is happily married to Gisele...or else Crapeaterdell would find a way to fine the Patriots and take 10 draft picks on the gorunds of "deflations might have happened".

What constitutes evidence? If Watson's lawyer agrees to pay these women off will that be enough?

Once again, I wasn't comparing the crimes and I'm not accusing you of defending his behavior. My point is that Tug Bob Smear Pants shouldn't have an issue with Watson.

DooshShawn Watson

9 women?

I never said you did, but you are the one who said we don’t know what happened because the video was suppressed. That’s simply not true.

I am not going to sit here and teach a class on the rules of evidence, but I will say this: a court petition is not evidence. Right now, that’s all we have (other than those texts which were released last night but I am not seeing anything in those which supports an allegation of sexual assault).

I am sure eventually facts will come out - perhaps even as soon as today - which will better enable all of us to make more informed opinions. But right now, we have next to nothing.
