DRAFT BGC 2021 Pre-Draft/Patriot-Type Prospect(s) thread

I wanna see how he does on the drills with his back pedal but if everything goes well he likely might go in the first round. Came out of nowhere this season.

He caught my eye last year, but the 40 time isn't surprising. I think he ran a 10.3 100 meter in highschool. That's blazing. He's got excellent size and length, and his technique in man reminds me of a younger, less polished Gilmore. He's been in all my mocks for the last couple months. Perfect for our traditional second round DB. ;)

Yep, if the 4 QBs, the 3 WRs & Kyle Pitts are all gone before #15, and if Bill isn't in the QB business during Day 1, and depending on the remaining roster holes after the first 6 weeks of free agency, then I feel that Bill should use his 1st-rounder on whoever is still available among Collins, Parsons, Paye, Rashawn Slater, AVT, and maybe Barmore...DBs, RBs, and other WRs should wait until Day 2...
If the 5 qb’s, parsons and 4 receivers are off the board by 15, we should trade back.

I like Stokes more but him and Campbell were freaky runners. More results ...

Question for all. There's going to be a lot of talent and decisions to be made so let's go through some WR/DL scenarios since both are big needs.

Are you double dipping? Chase or Waddle paired with one of the Moore's? Barmore or Paye with Shelvin or McNeill?

One of each? Personally I'm going offense round one possibly round two depending if I can really get E Moore. I think he goes round one, top 40 but weirder things have happened.

Paye & Oweh would give me feelings! Those two coming off the edge?!! It's tough bc of how often we use 1/2 IDL-DL but those two are a super intriguing pair together!

Where you going?

Let's say Waddle, Chase, Barmore, Paye are on the the board at 15. Who are we taking?

Now follow through with that answer, this time in the 2nd round. T Wallace, one of the Moore's, St Brown along with Oweh, Sample, Turner, Shelvin, McNeill & Brown.

Paye/Shelvin for me most likely. High end prototypes at two hard to fill defensive spots. I'd be extremely tempted by Chase/E Moore, though. But I'd probably take Pitts above any of them because he can play all over the formation and win at all three levels. I often play with mock draft simulations with the same kind of question in mind. The opportunity cost will be painful this year.

Final answer? Depends on free agency and player development.

Left out Pitts bc I think he's the first pass catcher off the board.

I really like the idea of knocking out or putting a dent a position with a double dip. And yea FA is big this year and will be telling. So much $ while others are up against it.

So excited to see it play out. There are a lot of good players available and figure to be more.

The talent at WR is just jaw dropping compared to the OK talent at DL, although Kwity looks really good. I would go WR and then look DL later. Although if Waddle and Chase are off the board, I would accept any argument for Paye over D. Smith.

But you can't pass up Chase and Waddle. If they're there, you take them.

Personally Best Player available. I did not count but I May gave sth like 10-12 players I would pick with 15. If they are Not there i would trade down. I think you can get similar talent with possible high reward but high risk as well for guys like barmore phillips Oweh etc.
If we dont solle the qb position in FA and we see one of the qb's as our franchise qb then I am all in to trade up Ressources from 2022 or Gilmore or whatever. It's worth for the qb to me.
Like others mentioned the approach really depend on the positions we solve through FA.

Waddle>Chase>Paye>Barmore for me. I wouldn't go with barmore if we not trade down to sth like 23 or later. He has struggles with a Plan if swim/club won't work. No real bull rusher and Run defense improved but still lot of work needed. Impressive against ND and OSU which gives hope but still a lot gamble.

Oweh McNeil or Moore. Turner might late second. I hope Shelvin in the third.

Doing these mock drafts is fun and addictive but it makes me angry every time that our 3rd rounder was stolen, as I watch several of my favorites come off of the board in the last half of the 3rd, leading up to the Brady comp pick. There is no way that BB doesn’t close that gap, either by trading Gilmore or trading out of 15.

Yea I don't think I'll have Barmore IDL1. Lots of good options but no game wreckers. Just had him bc I know a lot like him and he'd be brought up if not there.

I probably should have mentioned Twywin, think he might be undervalued a bit.
