Andy Reid’s son involved in serious accident while intoxicated

Shocked if he doesn't get life in prison.
If the girl recovers fully, then at most he gets 6 to 12 months.

If the girl dies, he'll do some real time but that means about 10 actual years served, not quite "life in prison".

Shocked if he doesn't get life in prison. I knew a guy in his early 20's who ran a red light while intoxicated, a cop saw it and chased him. The driver floored it over 100mph trying to dodge the cop as he already had one or two DUI's. He crashed into another vehicle at an intersection killing a guy. He's been serving life in prison since his early 20's. This was about 16 years ago. There was some controversy during the time questioning how the cop handled this by turning on the lights and chasing him. The cop had a lot of guilt over this.
Was the guy you knew a multimillionaire with a very powerful father and employer who likely has deep connections in the hayseed community where the crime was committed?

When a judge says Andy Reid’s home was a drug den it’s not a huge speculation.

My point however was that parents will hold themselves responsible for the people their children become. Yes it’s not a 100% correlation but a parent who raises 2 good kids and 2 bad kids didn’t break even.

I wasn't aware that a judge said that. Certainly changes the equation.

Here’s the article talking about what the judge said.

Beetle was saying that there was a police report out there that the woman he hit crawled from her car and had to yell at him to call the cops because he was standing there looking at the car.

I don't think that those stats include Wilt Chamberlain who said that he had sex with thousands of different women. If you go with 5% fertilization that's 50 minimum.
That was 6 men and they "only" had 87 kids with 50 women. The top two had 61 kids with 34 women.

The Hunts suck. Even the grandfather funded the Kennedy Assassination
Whoa! What?!? John or Robert?

I was going to make a joke here but I don't think the humor would be appreciated.

I was kinda 1/2 joking but I do think Oswald did not act alone.

H. L. Hunt is Clark Hunt's grandfather

Hmmm. I always thought that organized crime was behind both deaths.

The Reid story seems to be dying down. Is there any new word on the little girl?

No wonder the Chiefs lost. They didn't have Britt there to coach 'em up.

I'm a CIA/Mafia believer and Oswald was a CIA operative.

She is still in a coma.

I am so f____ing angry over this whole thing.

I'm more sad than angry, but anger will also kick in if nothing's done about it. That POS needs to be punished.

I was thinking this exact same thing.

3 - Reid legally drunk, drank on company premises, and then the show begins, and the Chiefs open up their pocket books with more investigations as to who knew what and when.

Think everyone can agree from what's been written, Reid most likely drank on company premises and drove home after work. Question then becomes what is the policy of football team vs the policy of the NFL and did the Chiefs violate any policies?

Absolute worst case, and flame away (and I don't think this will happen), but if it can be shown the Reid broke company policy and people knew about what was going on in the organization, and it could be shown that the only reason why Reid was hired was due to his father (lets face it, does anyone think Britt Reid would have a job with the Chiefs if his father wasn't the head coach), I could see both Reids possibly without a job (again, a long shot, don't think it will happen, but it is a possibility).

This is a news story that I don't think the NFL wants because it opens the door for a lot of hard questions to be asked. I'm not naive enough to believe that if this was an issue that was overlooked by the football organization, the Chiefs aren't the only team doing it.

No different than when Jerry Richardson had to sell the Panthers.

Every time I'd get an email from my human resources department on new company policy on common sense, I'd have to talk with people to see who really screwed up. Do I need to be told NOT to put a chair on a forklift for a 3rd party vendor to do eleectrical work "on the ceiling", heck no, but some butt did something stupid (in this case an electrician with no common sense), so the new policy comes out to protect the company from stupidity.

Whoa, whoa, whoa. Pump the brakes. It's not like they are suspected of allowing the laws of physics to apply in their stadium. Let's keep it in perspective. Why would Goodell trouble himself with such trivial matters?

Apparently he hit the car at "highway speeds". I also haven't seen it confirmed but it looks more and more likely he was drinking at the Chiefs facility. The league should (but probably won't) drop the hammer and the Hunt's should take care of the family for life.

The Kansas City facilities has cameras to monitor everyone entering or leaving. Thus, he drank at the facility, stopped at a package store, frequented a bar (which is against rules) or drank warm beer (from an earlier occasion). Hit the car at highway speeds? Was he texting? He is *****.

I guess the police confiscated his phone. No idea if that is normal procedure or not.

If that was us we would get multiple draft picks taken away. Chiefs should lose their first rounder or more if true.

That's a pretty fair analysis. If it's scenario 3, then I don't see how the league doesn't come down hard on the Chiefs. Well, I can see Goodell and company trying to minimize this, then having it blow up in their face like the Ray Rice incident and then deciding to issue a significant punishment.

As for other teams drinking on the premises, I remember an interview with Bruce Arians where, when he was coaching the Cardinals, he would act as a bartender out of the trunk of his car after practice. His idea for the players to relax, have a little fun, and bond with their teammates. I believe Michael Floyd's DUI had anything to do with these post-practice get togethers, but it probably didn't help that drinking was presented as "okay" by the head coach.

Yeah if you look at where the stadium is in relation to the scene of the accident, it sure looks like he was drinking at the stadium.

Let's see how sincere the NFL is in it's support of MADD

I'm expecting either ignoring everything and letting the team decide the punishment or the typical Draconian, overreaction, Wrath of God response. No inbetween
