If the girl dies, he'll do some real time but that means about 10 actual years served, not quite "life in prison".

Shocked if he doesn't get life in prison. I knew a guy in his early 20's who ran a red light while intoxicated, a cop saw it and chased him. The driver floored it over 100mph trying to dodge the cop as he already had one or two DUI's. He crashed into another vehicle at an intersection killing a guy. He's been serving life in prison since his early 20's. This was about 16 years ago. There was some controversy during the time questioning how the cop handled this by turning on the lights and chasing him. The cop had a lot of guilt over this.

Was the guy you knew a multimillionaire with a very powerful father and employer who likely has deep connections in the hayseed community where the crime was committed?

When a judge says Andy Reid’s home was a drug den it’s not a huge speculation.

My point however was that parents will hold themselves responsible for the people their children become. Yes it’s not a 100% correlation but a parent who raises 2 good kids and 2 bad kids didn’t break even.

This is a news story that I don't think the NFL wants because it opens the door for a lot of hard questions to be asked. I'm not naive enough to believe that if this was an issue that was overlooked by the football organization, the Chiefs aren't the only team doing it. No different than when Jerry Richardson had to sell the Panthers. Every time I'd get an email from my human resources department on new company policy on common sense, I'd have to talk with people to see who really screwed up. Do I need to be told NOT to put a chair on a forklift for a 3rd party vendor to do eleectrical work "on the ceiling", heck no, but some butt did something stupid (in this case an electrician with no common sense), so the new policy comes out to protect the company from stupidity.

Apparently he hit the car at "highway speeds". I also haven't seen it confirmed but it looks more and more likely he was drinking at the Chiefs facility. The league should (but probably won't) drop the hammer and the Hunt's should take care of the family for life.

The Kansas City facilities has cameras to monitor everyone entering or leaving. Thus, he drank at the facility, stopped at a package store, frequented a bar (which is against rules) or drank warm beer (from an earlier occasion). Hit the car at highway speeds? Was he texting? He is *****.

I guess the police confiscated his phone. No idea if that is normal procedure or not.

If that was us we would get multiple draft picks taken away. Chiefs should lose their first rounder or more if true.

That's a pretty fair analysis. If it's scenario 3, then I don't see how the league doesn't come down hard on the Chiefs. Well, I can see Goodell and company trying to minimize this, then having it blow up in their face like the Ray Rice incident and then deciding to issue a significant punishment.

As for other teams drinking on the premises, I remember an interview with Bruce Arians where, when he was coaching the Cardinals, he would act as a bartender out of the trunk of his car after practice. His idea for the players to relax, have a little fun, and bond with their teammates. I believe Michael Floyd's DUI had anything to do with these post-practice get togethers, but it probably didn't help that drinking was presented as "okay" by the head coach.

Yeah if you look at where the stadium is in relation to the scene of the accident, it sure looks like he was drinking at the stadium.

Let's see how sincere the NFL is in it's support of MADD

I'm expecting either ignoring everything and letting the team decide the punishment or the typical Draconian, overreaction, Wrath of God response. No inbetween
