Andy Reid’s son involved in serious accident while intoxicated

I am looking forward to hearing the whole story, meaning where was he drinking? Was he at home? Did he stop at a bar after work? Or was he drinking at work? That, IMHO, goes a long way towards determining if the team has any responsibility here.

But,but, but he has an addiction problem.

You see, people like Reid and Gordon need empathy and understanding.
Some people do need empathy and understanding but Reid seems more like an ******* with an addiction problem.

All we need is for KC LBs to be caught on camera saying: "Let's win this for Coach Britt."

I really don't want to see Andy Reid raising the Lombardi with little Ariel fighting for her life back in KC.

Honest question. Do you blame Reid for his son's actions? It's totally possible he raised his kids the right way. But they turned into tools anyway. It happens.

i do blame him and more so his wife. While it is true that the best parenting can produce total reprobates, you need to read what the judge said years ago about conditions in the Reid drug den household. Unexcuseable.

Bad apples can be nurtured or even the best environment can lead to kids becoming degenerate adults.
Going 2 for 2 is definitely a trend though. It's sad nevertheless.

There are crack dens in Lawrence with less drugs lying around than what they found in the Reid household that day.

Honest answer: There sure does seem to be an awful lot of enabling on his part regarding his sons' behavior issues.

Not only were two twenty somethings living in Reid's home at the time of the drug emporium, but Britt continued to get in trouble with the law. What did Andy do? He continued to promote him in the Chiefs organization. Hell yea he bears a level of responsibility.

I bet if there were any Twix, Devil Dogs or girl scout cookies missing Andy would put those kids on the next bus to military school.

100% yes.

Why the **** would he put his son who has a proven history of addiction in an intense, very competitive workplace that causes a lot of stress?

Maybe he had blind trust in him? Which would obviously still be Andy's fault.

Sometimes you think your kids will overcome obstacles. No matter what.

Still irresponsible. Least he could do was try to understand what addiction is, especially after losing a son to it!

The judge agreed.

According to the article the police didn't find any drugs at Reid's home.

"While police found only weapons and ammunition - and not drugs - at the house, O'Neill apparently based his remarks on Britt Reid's statement that he once mistakenly grabbed a Vicodin tablet instead of health supplements out of a pill drawer at the home."
