Bill has drafted pretty poorly as of late so he sacrificed a sure thing in hopes he will suddenly remember how to draft again? They made the logically correct decision for the best interests of the team long term.
You understand there is a draft, yes? And, in that draft, there are these guys called “quarterbacks.” Here’s the thing: a team can pick any one of these quarterbacks to have a plan in place if Brady hits the age wall. It’s all so exciting. That way, you’re not left with your **** in your hand if he leaves or hits the age wall or decides he wants to kiss his sons on the lips full time and retire suddenly. What you don’t want to do is get rid of Brady when there is no visible sign of decline and have absolutely no plan whatsoever for the future at the position aside from a 4th round turnover machine and a big, black lesbian whose best days are behind him.Uhh belichicks? Idk what that has to do with anything. And "sure you can" when you know your QB has the time to wait. You can't when any year could be his last
No.... no they really didn't. At this point, the bitter few of you still desperately clinging to that ridiculous notion are just embarrassing yourselves...They made the logically correct decision for the best interests of the team long term.
Yea. Welcome to every other team in the NFL's challenge. Finding a replacement. Brady at 42 is far from a sure thing. Not only in talent or skill, but any major injury is a *career* ender, not just a season ender. You understand there is a draft, yes? Who's bitter?? Why do you continue to make up some fantasy that I'm angry at Brady's success?No.... no they really didn't. At this point, the bitter few of you still desperately clinging to that ridiculous notion are just embarrassing yourselves...
It’s because Gronk has taken on the serious business of winning.
Couldn’t be happier for Brady, and Gronk.
When do you think it will be the right decision? Because it certainly wasn’t 2020. In order for us signing him until age 45 to be the wrong decision, he will have to fall off a cliff sometime in the next two years. So which one do you think that will be?Yea. You guys keep bringing up BB's draft record like I'm defending it. It has nothing to do with it. In a vacuum on its own you don't hitch your wagons to a 42 year old QB when you can't surround him with the talent necessary. Frankly we got lucky we hit on an all-time greatest TE in Gronk which really shortened the rebuild time in the early 2010s. There's almost no chance it'll happen again in this draft (nor was there a chance in the last draft) to accelerate the rebuild enough to justify Brady staying here another 3-5 years.
Just out of curiosity what exact scenario do people think would've realistically happened had Brady stayed here? We'd still have the same garbage weapons. Gronk may not even have come back. We have a decent RB group. Decent secondary. No run defense. This year would've looked a lot closer to 2013 (except we probably don't make it past the WC round) or 2009 than anything else. Then what? We're hoping to hit on a rookie WR which we have pretty much never done? Or are we drafting defense and hoping for a miracle savior to come in at WR? What happens if we fail to improve the offensive weapons beyond mediocre? That's 2 years of Brady's career lost when he could've just gone to a ready made team in TB.
Don't confuse my support for the Patriots decision as somehow throwing all my support behind BB either. If he keeps up this draft record and doesn't have Brady to bail him out anymore he's almost good as gone. But I still think the team itself made the right (albeit tough) decision to move on
When you have the GOAT, the first choice is definitely the right choice, unless you want to show you can win a Super Bowl without Brady in which case the sooner you get started the better. It depends on what you think their end goal was. If it's to go balls to the wall all out no matter the cost and win as many Super Bowls as possible til he hits 45, sure they made the wrong choice. But if the goal is be competitive in the long run, understanding you may be mediocre or bad in the first year, then I don't think it's too crazy to let him go and get the rebuild going asap
You might be right and you might be wrong. We will have to see how the offseason shakes out first before declaring that the Brady-less BB-led Pats are dead in the water. He has a big opportunity in front of him and Caserio, who may have had more to do with the suspect drafts from ‘13-current, is sucking on Easterby’s nipple in Houston now.Tom will be chasing ring # 8 in Tampa and Belichick will be getting stomped by the Bills.
Felger and Mazz goblins can spin it anyway they need to but that fact will be staring them in the face for a few years to come.
Really just try to imagine the double digit IQ necessary to be a Patriot fan of years and not recognize Tom Brady’s value.

lol how stubborn can you be that you don't realize Brady wanted out because the Pats have not had any weapons, he went to TB which was loaded on offense, where he had chances to win SB whereas the Patriots were in Cap-hell after the 5 SuperBowl trips and 3 Rings the last 6 years...BB tried to get started with JG 5 years ago. Thank god Kraft stopped him and we got 3 more Superbowl visits and 2 more trophies. But then finally BB got his ******ed way to kick Brady out. Now we pay the price.
How did Brady get to the point that he was a UFA after 20 years, though?lol how stubborn can you be that you don't realize Brady wanted out because the Pats have not had any weapons, he went to TB which was loaded on offense, where he had chances to win SB whereas the Patriots were in Cap-hell after the 5 SuperBowl trips and 3 Rings the last 6 years...
BB didn't wanted Brady? No, Brady didn't wanted to be here anymore because he has not seen a chance to win with those weapons he ended up in the end, is it that difficult to understand that it was Bradys choice not BBs?

he didn't sign an extention? Brady is 400years old, he has not that much time for BB to rebuild an old team without any noticeable offensive weapon, if it would have been about money Brady would have signed with the Jags or anybody who would throw 50M per year to him, but he is in win-now mode and went to a loaded Tampa Bay team and convinced them (next to the fact that they obvioulsy have had the needed cap room) to aquire Gronk and Brown to even have more offensive weapons he has not had in NE recently in order to have a chance at the ring, with the pats he would not have, lets be clear and honest about thatHow did Brady get to the point that he was a UFA after 20 years, though?
