NFL GAME DAY DISCUSSION OFFICIAL Super Bowl Bucs/Chiefs Game Thread

Remember that Brady's #1 destination was SF and he called Shanahan and Lynch and they passed on him. They also would've had Gronk, Brown and probably Fournette. LOL.

You think they would take a mulligan on that one?
Now a year later they are basically done with the guy they passed on brady for.

Players of the Game

1. Vita Vea
2. Tom Brady
3. Ndumakong Suh
4. Lavonte David
5. Shaq Barrett
6. Devin White
7. Rob Gronkowski
8. Leonard Fournette

Offensive line was spectacular but not sure on individuals. Secondary obviously great but way more about scheme and the pressure up front.

Vea was the difference between losing in Green Bay and dominating in the Super Bowl. The defense is like 5x better with him.

Good thing about blowout, they can't use any excuse that is credible.

I can see them getting mad with the Evans one but the one tipped interception with brady. That was a hold.

Congrats. Tom keeps winning championships while we get to watch Bill burn his legacy to the ground.

Fun.
Bill could have terrible drafts for the next five years, never have another winning season and retire at 74 and his legacy would be just fine. Get a grip
Short of the police finding child porn on his computer or something his legacy is untouchable.

He’s not flashy like donald but he takes up space and is tough to handle inside.

So I'll admit I haven't kept track of any threads but..... is that ass clown still here? What did I say? 30 points no way.. Oline protects Brady 10 point win. I'm guessing that idiot is gone.

Idk. They could be back here next year who knows. I’m not in love witn these other teams in the afc. The bills gave a pathetic performance. Browns played the tough and could have beaten them but they’re the brownies. I’m not in love with the afc right now.
They might be back. But a better team will probably be waiting for them. Tampa will still be a beast. Packers look good and even the Rams look legit with the massive upgrade at QB.

OH LOOK...THE BIGGEST FECES EATING SUBMORON IN MEDIA HISTORY...Brady is an old relic!! Nick Wrong....SUPERMORON! I just wish there was a way to laugh this jackass off the planet

Mahomes’ cap hit climbs $20 mill next year, then another $5 mill the next year, and then another $10 mill the following year. It’s going to be difficult for the Chiefs to hold onto or add talent.
I said it before the contract was signed. We are going to see what truly matters to Mahomes, money or winning. I'm not saying he doesn't want to win. That would be absurd. But he also has to know that taking every last cent would hamper his chances to win in the future. It speaks volumes about his priorities. Especially with the number of opportunities these guys have off field to generate revenue. Or the kind of money in investment capital "just" a few hundred million can produce,. Especially over 20 or 30 years plus.

But you are talking about a 7-9 team with Jameis Winston as QB. That is going from a bottom tier QB to a top tier QB.

Let's say the Pats trade for Carson Wentz and put a lot more pieces around him next year. If the Pats win the Super Bowl next year, are we going to give Wentz all the credit for it?

Brady definitely was a key piece this year, but the Bucs were a lot closer to being a contender than people give them credit for.
You are missing a key point. Brady is the GOAT for a reason. He elevates everyone around him. He brought a confidence to this team that they would not have had with the rapist or a Carson Wentz type. Yes, Brady did make that big of a difference. You are totally underestimating the effect of having a legend. Jordan did it, Gretzky did it, AS much as I hate him, LeBron did it. Some guys just instantly make you a contender. He changed the culture on that team. That cannot be overstated. And the rapist was a mediocre QB who threw for around 5k yards, not a bottom of the barrel QB.

this is a classic example of how it is a team game, not BB or brady . KC without its tackles and poor coaching by Andy, terrible defense is losing inspite of having a great QB.
Nah. Mahomes was played bad too.

I actively rooted against the Buccaneers all year, but just couldn’t do it tonight and cheered on the GOAT. I don’t like how it ended here and and I especially HATE the need for some posters on here to use Brady’s success to denigrate Belichick, but ultimately Brady brought so much joy to me as a sports fan that last 20 years, I couldn’t root against him.

I’m especially happy to hear that the Mahomes GOAT talk is now officially done now and forever. Mahomes could go on to win the next 10 Super Bowls in a row, but he was never able to beat the greatest to ever do it when it mattered.
It was ridiculous to begin with. I never listen to them, but I saw a quote from Skip Bayless and for once I agreed with him. Absolutely nobody was talking about Brady coming for Joe Montana's position as the GOAT after, let alone before, his second SuperBowl win. It's absurd and disrespectful to Brady. Mahomes is the best QB in football. But as he now knows, winning SuperBowls is difficult. And unlike Brady, he went after every penny he could possibly get. That will make it even harder. Zero chance this guy wins anywhere near 6 SuperBowls.
