NFL GAME DAY DISCUSSION OFFICIAL Super Bowl Bucs/Chiefs Game Thread

Mahomes may never win another one. Rodgers and brees are great QBs who have only one ring

Idk. They could be back here next year who knows. I’m not in love witn these other teams in the afc. The bills gave a pathetic performance. Browns played the tough and could have beaten them but they’re the brownies. I’m not in love with the afc right now.

Do we? If you/others don't enjoy the discussion, that's fine. You can ignore threads or individual posters, or, I don't know, just be an adult and brush it off/not let it bother you if that's how you feel. It's one of the biggest personell mistakes in Boston sports history, right up there with Seguin in recent memory and Babe Ruth if you want to go back that far. It's part of the narrative of the GOAT QB and there is nothing wrong with talking about it on a Patriots fan forum.
Totally agree. I will never understand the need some people here feel to tell other people, grown adults, what they can or can not talk about. If you don't like the conversation, just don't participate. It's an easy solution. I think it comes down to lack of maturity and a need to control others. I've seen quite a few toxic people in my short time here.

Not denying that. But any SuperBowl team has to be. My point is that team was 7-9 with all that talent. Brady is what turned them into champs, not the other way around. This wasn't like Manning riding the Broncos coattails to a title. Tom changed the culture there.

But you are talking about a 7-9 team with Jameis Winston as QB. That is going from a bottom tier QB to a top tier QB.

Let's say the Pats trade for Carson Wentz and put a lot more pieces around him next year. If the Pats win the Super Bowl next year, are we going to give Wentz all the credit for it?

Brady definitely was a key piece this year, but the Bucs were a lot closer to being a contender than people give them credit for.

Again, what was the gameplan if we kept him? With no weapons on offense? And why do you assume Brady was even willing to stay?
If Brady stayed they would have won a few more games but the 2020 Patriots were not going anywhere, were in salary cap hell. The Patriots did the right thing for the Patriots and Brady did the right thing for Brady. Brady on the 2020 Patriots would not have resulted in a playoff winning team, it would have been 2019 all over again.

This isn’t really a discussion. It’s a deaf dialog. The pro Belichick will never change their mind and neither the pro Brady.

i am more on the camp of Brady but even with his 7th SB, I am getting tired of this pseudo discussion.

can’t we just enjoy that for one night without the Bill/Brady debate?

Told y’all that KC’s OL was their Achille’s Heel

Sour grapes. They were not a QB away, but they were a GOAT away.

Not sour grapes at all. In fact, I rooted for Brady most of the season. He deserves tons of credit for this season. But he wasn't the greatest QB this year and the Bucs probably wouldn't have won the last two games without the defense shutting down the two best QBs this year in back to back games.

It wasn't all Brady. Brady was a key piece, but by far not the only piece.

Mahomes horseface fiancée “my fiancé can’t fcking catch and throw the ball at the same time”

Spoiled younger fans in NE. I’ve lived enough disappointment in my Boston fandom to fill 3 lives, and then had enough winning the last 20 years to fill 3 lives. Not seeing Brady in a Pats uniform the last couple years of his HOF career ranks pretty far down the disappointment list. If you are an older fan, then I just shake my head.

Might have something to do with people shoehorning the Brady vs Belichick debate into every thread on here. It gets annoying quick.

Chris Jones making excuses aver the game talking abou the calls and being less aggressive lol. Did chris jones do anything in this game? He was dominated.

He got called for a 15 yard penalty.

Mahomes’ cap hit climbs $20 mill next year, then another $5 mill the next year, and then another $10 mill the following year. It’s going to be difficult for the Chiefs to hold onto or add talent.

Chronically one of the worst teams in the league to champs. I remember the first few games they played this year, it’s was a mess but slowly you saw the change. It was a great accomplishment to win the Super Bowl and anyone devaluing it is a loser.

They are the Seahawks.
