NFL GAME DAY DISCUSSION OFFICIAL Super Bowl Bucs/Chiefs Game Thread

That top tier roster was 7-9 without him.

C'mon, this team is loaded with talent. Let's not act like they are a trash team. Evans, Godwin, brown, scottie miller, Gronk, brate, fournette. That's just offense.

Suh, JPP shaq Barrett, and that defense. Not discounting brady but he went to an extremely stacked team

Again, what was the gameplan if we kept him? With no weapons on offense? And why do you assume Brady was even willing to stay?

The problem wasn’t Cam Newton, it was planning to go into the season with Jarrett Stidham as the starter. Forcing Cam to be signed.

This year proved even Bill cannot win with a crap QB. I doubt any coach could.

I am not sure Belichick was forced to sign Newton or he just saw him as a bargain and figured he could see if he had any of his MVP season magic left in him. That said in hindsight, they probably should have just played Stidham and tanked the season.

But it is a QB driven league. Odds are well will rarely if ever see another team win the Super Bowl without a top tier QB. They may not need an elite one, but they gotta be near the top of the league.

Romo was already saying Mahomes might get to 8 Superbowls.

We saw what the chiefs are going to look like when Mahomes caphit is 45million. Not to mention Hill and Kelce having big caphits.

This is Seahawks all over again.
Romo is a talented analyst but he wouldn't know how to keep a dynasty winning if it hit him in the face

While there might have some debate for some dumb reason, tonight puts a nail in the coffin. Brady is the goat and there will never be another
There hasn’t been a debate for a very long time. To say Brady is not the GOAT is just idiotically wrong. It’s like saying there is a debate about whether the earth is round.

It’s a stacked team but brady and his leadership let them. He holds everyone accountable.

They went from Jameis Winston to Brady. Winston is a horrible QB and still was near the top of the league in passing yards and TDs and they lost four games by 3 points or less. They didn't need a whole heck of a lot to turn around that team into a winner.

Yes, Brady deserves a lot of credit to help them win a Super Bowl, but that team was pretty much a QB away from becoming a contender. And then they added a lot of pieces on top of that.

We actually play the Bucs next year at Gillette

Not denying that. But any SuperBowl team has to be. My point is that team was 7-9 with all that talent. Brady is what turned them into champs, not the other way around. This wasn't like Manning riding the Broncos coattails to a title. Tom changed the culture there.

Dude.

We all need to move on.
Do we? If you/others don't enjoy the discussion, that's fine. You can ignore threads or individual posters, or, I don't know, just be an adult and brush it off/not let it bother you if that's how you feel. It's one of the biggest personnel mistakes in Boston sports history, right up there with Seguin in recent memory and Babe Ruth if you want to go back that far. It's part of the narrative of the GOAT QB and there is nothing wrong with talking about it on a Patriots fan forum.

If Mahomes has a chance to get to 8, I might have a chance at 7 myself. It’s the same difference.

Sour grapes. They were not a QB away, but they were a GOAT away.

All I can say is this... I have never in my life seen the media so quick to declare a "dynasty" as they did the Chiefs last year...

An awful lot of teams have won 1 in a row....

Can’t wait to that cap number hits for the queefs. I wanna see mahomes get a super bowl with what brady has had.
