2020 Super Bowl Game Pre-Game Thread

Does anyone else find it depressing watching the playoffs this season? The playoff teams have so much more talent than the Patriots, especially at WR and TE. It is like night and day...varsity versus JV.

We have the best board to debate this game even compared to a Buccaneers forum. They actually suck. The majority of Pats fans here root for Brady still and are fairly passionate about him getting his 7th. I can't blame a Chiefs fan for being here where everyone is talking about this game
Thank you.

ChiefsPlanet always has lots of traffic. But the mods don't care about anything. The swearing and religious criticisms is beyond belief.

And I honestly think there will be more Pats fans watching tonight than actual Bucs fans. They don't have much of a fan base.

All in all, I like that this board is moderated and posters don't resort to insults and abuse.

After all these years, Chief fans still haven't learned the cardinal rule in the NFL.

A game against Brady has never been a sure thing. All he does is find a way to win, and I predict he will do so again today.

Which cost them against New England two years ago. Remember when they tired the game up with a quick strike to Hill? I knew we messed up because we left NE too much time to go the other way.
It seems like it requires less time now than it did in the past. KC came back and tied the Pats in 2018 with 32 seconds left and actually had a chance to win it with a TD. Whichever team won the toss in OT was going to win, which turned out to be the Pats.

Tom Brady is your QB. Maybe he isn't wearing a Pats jersey tonight. But all of New England I'm sure will be cheering him on.

What's the point of any fan being on a message board? I wouldn’t say such things to Pats fans on Chiefs Planet currently.
No, he's not, or else every player that leaves NE is somehow still a NE player. Don't get it twisted. He's a legend, the GOAT, but he is NOT a patriot at this point in time. Facts.

And I'm a fan of the Patriots. That's why I'm here. I could understand division rivals being here because they're in our division and talk **** to us. I could understand you being here if we were actually playing each other this week, but we're not. You should be on a Buccs forum, but whatever.

Hope you’ll stick around @MahomestoHill

Most of the members here appreciate another perspective on the game.

I'll be here before, during, and after the game.

You know what sucks though? The losses always stick with you longer than the wins.

For instance, I was in a bad mood for a week after the 2018 championship game. Tough to sleep at times.

Yet, winning last year was exhilarating for a night. But on Tuesday the moment was gone. It was like "Now what"? Winning this year won't even compare to last year either. The first in a fan's lifetime is one you don't forget.

I always have wondered this.

Do you think the Pats should've killed more clock before going for the go ahead TD in 2018 Title game? I forget the exact circumstances. So I may be off.

Which makes what the Patriots did that much more incredible. Brady didn't have a Rice at receiver. Or Emmitt at RB. So much change. Yet kept chugging along.

Yeah...it’s very impressive. I think the NFL with the QB position makes a Brady type of run possible again though obviously very difficult. Mahomes would need to be willing, when his contract explodes, to settle for less than top dollar weapons around him, which other great QBs have been unwilling to do perhaps their GMs/owners felt it was necessary.

But I think Brady and LeBron are probably the forerunners for the future of sports. They’re going to be in the mix every year despite having different players around them. They’re not going to be 8-0 in the championship round but they’ll usually have a team that‘s right in the thick of it.

Maybe Mahomes is next...he sure looks the part, but the league changes so quickly too.

The Bucs have no boards to really converse. Like a ghost town lol.

With all due respect TomBrady is not like every other player that left New England.

Ha ha! For sure. I’m still not over SB42.

Yeah, losses really suck. Especially the ones where you felt like an inferior team lucked out.

I think Mahomes would restructure his contract in order to keep the team in tact. Hill, Kelce, Jones, and Mahomes are the four staples of the team. If any one of those guys had to go it would probably be Hill. But I doubt it's a decision they will need to make.

I've gotten over my disappointment over Brady being let go and I'm happy for Brady and have confidence that the Pats can turn it around quickly, just as they did in 2001.

Killing the clock when you're behind is dangerously tricky. It's only ever in hindsight that its answered.

He is also injury prone which is the biggest inhibitor in the NFL.

Did you somehow miss the part where I called him the GOAT and a legend?

I re-watched SB 42 the other day. I'll never ever understand the decision to go for it on 4th and 13th. Nor having Brady try and play bombs away with Moss with 35 seconds on the clock. Regardless, the better team did not win that game. The luckier team did.
