NFL GAME DAY DISCUSSION OFFICIAL NFC CHAMPIONSHIP THREAD - Buccaneers at Packers

I'm ready.

It was his decision to not running it on 3rd down

Not necessarily a dumb move for letting Brady go. It was dumb for not having a viable backup plan at QB b4 letting him go.
How can you say that. How is not anything but dumb letting go a QB that throws 40 TDs, 4500 yards, has 3 postseason road wins, and is going to Superbowl, all for a contract that's not even Top 10 QB money. What else do you want in a QB for the team? Superlative play at reasonable price not enough for you?

It was BB's ego and need to win without Brady that scuttled it. Fck BB.

I'm happy for Tom. I hope he is the first starting QB ever to win a Super Bowl for two different teams. If the Pats aren't going to win the Super Bowl, I would not want anyone else to win it other than Tom.

EDIT: I forgot about Peyton Manning, but he is easy to forget considering the Broncos won the Super Bowl despite him and his ducks. At least the second time.

so Brady leaving and going to the deepest roster in the league somehow validates some infantile theory you have?

let me guess....patriot fan since 2007? 2010?

Let me guess? Bill fan since 85?

Jesus go away. Not giving brady credit for moving to a new state, taken a team who hasn't been to the playoffs in 14 years, no playoff wins in 18 years. No traditional off season, and zero pre season. 3 road wins, wins against 2 of the top 5 qbs of all time and so.ehow you can't bring your self to say, hey, maybe brady matters more?

You're being faithfully dishonest and your remarks on my fandom show me exactly how threatend you are by a disenting opinion. It's sad to be honest. Grow up.

revisionist history at best

they were not in position to offer him beyond a one year deal, nor were they in position to bring talent in this year to help him win this year......it wasn't a slight, it was the final hard reality of salary cap football

they kept it rolling for 18 years.....unprecedented success in the salary cap era, they built the greatest NFL dynasty of all time IN THE SALARY CAP ERA

jesus, i'm pretty effing satisfied with that as a patriots fan......and as a patriots fan, i'm happy to see tom having success elsewhere, but come on

you've got a few of tom's curlies on your chin there....

Manning already did it. But brady would be doing it in 1 quarter of the time. Perhaps you mean different conferences. That's a pretty cool accomplishment

You're showing your hand when you get personal. I've already won the argument. You can't get personal if you want to be held in orestigue. It's unbecoming. Grow up. There's still time left.

Yep Peyton did that already , but

Remember when Colts fans thought Peyton might play a home SB game ?
Well TB12 is the first !

Maybe he can draft a punter in the 3rd round instead of the 4th this time.
Hopefully we trade up and spend a few picks to do it.

Was it me or was TFB the only person not wearing a mask during trophy ceremony.
You’re right he wasn’t wearing one and he looked like he was the only not wearing one. Roger will probably suspend him for the Superbowl.

Can someone give me Rodgers record now when trailing by 1 or more points in the 4th quarter. I read it was terrible.

Because the Pats wouldn't be going to the Super Bowl in two weeks with or without Tom. The Pats are destined to move on from Brady whether it was last offseason, next offseason, or the season after that. This was the perfect year to take the hit post Brady. COVID made this year less enjoyable anyway. The Pats are set up well to rebuild next year. They will have high draft picks and a lot of picks along with a ton of cap space.

I am happy for Tom and hope he wins another Super Bowl, but we wouldn't be winning one this year if he stayed. If the Pats were Brady away from contending for a Super Bowl, I would agree with you.

And let's face it, Brady wouldn't put up the same stats with Meyers, Harry, and Byrd as he did with Evans, Godwin, and AB. He probably would have had a year like he had last year or even worse without Edelman this year.

Duh! My brain had a freeze, I don't count Manning because he was throwing ducks and not footballs the second time they won.

He would be the first ever to win a SB with a team from each conference!
