Well, it was just another metaphor for a small hick town versus a world class city.
Well me and Cousin Goober were discussing the world class city the other day. I says , "Goober, why is it that them folks up thar round whar them Patriots is from so crochety all the time?"
Goober says, "I been doin' a lot of thinkin' about that lately, and I remembered this feller that used to live up there and he told me bout living there. I think it has something to do with propitee values, you know how much it costs to buy a house."
I says, "Whatcha mean? Why would thar propitee cost so much up thar?"
Goober says, "Best I can tell, they gots a bunch of Sinkholes, like we got down near the caves, only theys so big they call them Mass holes. That feller said the area is full of them. So best I can make out, they've got so many Mass holes arount thar they can't find any more room to build homes."
I says, "Why don't they just use fill dirt? I know lots of houses down by Bedford on fill dirt."
Goober says, "I think before they didn't have room for more homes they used them as their outhouses, cause the feller said thar was all kinds of Mass holes and they was full of crap."
I guess I'ld be a bit crochity too if I was surrounded by Mass holes that was full of crap.
But they sure have a great football team!
