Alright, let’s fix this offense:

First let’s re-sign:
D. Andrews
J. Eluemanor
J. White
D. Byrd(maybe)

Throw some money at:
WR Kenny Golladay
TE Hunter Henry

Also said in another thread to give N. Harry a TE playbook and I meant it.

Not sure about QB.
If Lance or Wilson are available where we are drafting take it. If not go BPA and maybe try and trade back in and get Mac Jones late 1st.

I’m also good with a reclamation project. I’m not gonna completely judge Sam Darnold until he’s away from that massive dumpster fire that is the Jets. Jimmy on the cheap would be fine.

Bash away, just thinkin out loud here!

Pats last four games:

22.8 ppg
381 ypg
5.8 yards per play

To preface, the offense is showing progress since playing the Bills. The run game is elite with a RB in Harris that can create on his own. They also have two WRs producing efficiently:

Meyers 75.6% catch rate 12.6 YPR
Byrd 66.7% catch rate 14.7 YPR

The lack of a #1 WR, a viable TE & more consistent QB play has kept the points down but there is improvement. Before getting into QB I think the team should focus on setting whoever that is up for success. Acquiring a top option & a starting caliber TE as you say is the way to go IMO.

I actually hope we resign Andrews, White, and Byrd. Eluemenor is fine as a backup but it just seems he is injured a lot. I think Herron is better to develop and get more snaps. Byrd and Meyers I like and are solid, hopefully Edelman comes back. We definitely need to sign someone and/or draft well at WR. An upgrade at TE is needed of course. I think a lot of it depends on cap space. If Cannon (and maybe others) retire then I imagine we will have a better shot at some free agents. I really think the O-line needs to be the priority and we can be a ground and pound team. Plus it will help out whoever the QB is.

Absolutely. Depending on health of course:
Wynn
Onwenu
Andrews
Mason
Eluemanor/Herron
That would be solid all around and above average run blocking in my opinion.

Disagree about Edelman. I love Squirrel, but he has been on the downward slide for two seasons now. His durability won’t be better next year. I want him to retire before he is doomed to CTE as his retirement plan.

is Burkhead a FA too? I would really like him back. Love the way he plays. Should be cheap, knows the system and is reliable. Hopefully he will recover well after the injury

Agree. Would love to have him back as well if he is healthy and plays like he has this year. There is/was no hesitation in his game this year. Downhill

QB: Z. Wilson
RB: D.Harris
WR: K. Golladay
WR: J. Edelman/D. Byrd
WR: J. Meyers
TE: H. Henry
LT: I. Wynn
LG: M. Onwenu
C: D. Andrews
RG: S. Mason
RT: J. Eluemanor/J. Herron

If the coaching staff likes Asiasi and Keene, we can save the money on H Henry to spend it on D. With Hightower out we NEED a NT and an ILB, plus a Dend.

I do not think BB would start a rookie QB. We would have to sign a veteran QB to fill in. I imagine if Cam has another offer he will not sign with the Pats as a placeholder if we have drafted a 1st round QB.

For 2021:

qb - newton, hoyer and stidham. I would prefer newton leave, but I think bb brings him back.

rb - Harris, Michel, Taylor, Johnson, and draftee.

wr - 1st round pick waddle, Meyers, Byrd, harry, and free agent signee.

te - Keene, Assisi and free agent signee.

ol - Wynn, onwenu, Andrews, mason, 3rd round draftee faalala, eulumenor, Herron, Cunningham and free agent signee.

dt - 2nd round draft pick Davis of Georgia, Carl Davis, guy, and cowart.

de - many free agent signings and draft picks.

lb - uche, winovich, Hightower, Jennings, hall, Bentley, 2 free agent signings.

CB - Gilmore, Jackson, Jones, Myles, Williams, free agent signing.

s - mccourty, Chung, digger, Phillips, draft pick.

3 specialists.

We can draft a qb and cut Hoyer IMO.

QB- I could live with Newton with a better supporting cast

OL- Love this plan. Keep on fortifying that front 5

DL- Cowart, Re-sign Guy, Is Beau Allen a real person, high draft pick
