Question about Jakobi

...but doesn't know - or want to know - how to play the position at the NFL level...

You do not know what anyone, other than yourself, wants to know. To suggest otherwise is nasty. Very disappointed in you. I hope @Ian takes notice when posts become personal and nasty.

Myers ran a 4.6second 40 yard dash at the combine so he will never stretch the field. His 7.07sec 3-cone is quite good. So he is a short to medium distance underneath guy. 6'1.5" so he is not short, but not strong, so lanky might be a good word? If nearly 6'2" can be lanky.

Harry is taller, bigger, faster, quicker and stronger.

Harry is taller at 6'2 7/8 compared to Meyers 6'1 4/8. Harry is also 25 lbs heavier at 228 compared to 203.
Meyers actually ran a 6.87 3 cone at his Pro Day. Their short shuttles are nearly identical with Harry at 4.28 to Meyers 4.23.

Harry had a 38.5 in vertical compared to Meyers 37.
Harry had 27 reps on the bench compared to 13 for Meyers.
Harry had a 10'02 broad jump compared to 9'10 for Meyers.

Meyers had a better 10 yard split at 1.55 compared to 1.62. They were even at the 20 and then Harry had the better 40 by .11 seconds.

Harry gets the opportunity because of draft status. He may have more upside but it’s SO obvious that Meyers plays faster, quicker, and with more awareness than Harry.

I firmly believe Meyers is the next Patriots slot receiver. He just knows how to play the position. Go out and get a true #1 and let Jakobi move the chains from the inside.

Julian Edelman being out is the biggest reason why he's "producing more". Most plays are designed to get Edelman open. Now they are forced to go to Myers.

The guy is clearly showing he can play.

Sorry not sorry, but I'm now more convinced than ever that Kneal Harry is not finishing his rookie contract here, and that's not even taking his 5th-year option not being triggered into account...This concussion issue might just be his way out for the rest of this season...Just look at his former ASU teammate Brandon Aiyuk with SF, or Aiyuk's current teammate there Deebo Samuel, or at AJ Brown or his former teammate DK Metcalf...Those guys want the football, and once they get it they run with bad intentions...I have never, ever seen that attitude with Harry...This was the wrong team to draft him, and I think he knows that now too...His career might still be salvageable elsewhere, perhaps re-joining Aiyuk in SF under Shanahan, but it will never, ever be salvageable here...I've been around too long to believe otherwise...

He ran that way his first preseason and torched his hammy, and rookie year, in the process. He's been timid/reserved since, like he's just playing to live another day.

I thought Meyers should have been the #2 WR last year in week 1.... but he seemed to never get on the same page with Brady.

And I am not sure why he hasn't seen many reps until now. To be honest, he has outplayed Harry the last 2 seasons....even when Harry is on the field, IMO.

Yes. It's been obvious. Meyers needs to start above Harry and Harris when healthy above Sony
