Few things:
1) Still scratching my head about Bill punting on "no free information" attitude... as if he's no longer bought into what he's preached. I don't know what it signals. I'm 10% "Epic Bill Mind-frak of some sort", 50% "Not a good look, Bill. Disappointed," 30% "Wow. Welp, he knows where we are and apparently silence at the podium is just pointless." 10% "Hey Cam let's be pretty damn dour, it'll get you out of the building with a shot at rebuilding your career, it'll get me a long look at Stidham. Just give me a minute to put away all sharp objects out of my office because damn."
2) Shlitz runs downhill. We're seeing Cam being border-line excusey, Bill being border-line excusey, etc. Well, we just came back to lose by a late whoopsee to the probable eventual division winner. So that doesn't fit. I know you don't get rings for "close," but getting that close, even if it's more heartbreaking than an out-of-reach loss... I am trying to grok it resulting in the comparative meltdown, by Pats terms (not on-field, the public comments.)
3) Can we make some noise? slim outside chance, but the best guess is no with this team. But definitely we can't if our own guys think we can't. They'll look to Bill and somewhat to Cam.
4) Maybe they get where COVID is going to be, not where it is right now, and that makes the COVID emphasis different in the building than for some fans. Dunno. They certainly had a big "not this year" contingent.
5) that Lawrence guy? LOL
