The excuses I’m hearing from folks with the team are starting to get on my nerves. He’s said the right things so far and almost ruined it with this.

If you wanna stick around dude stop talking and just play better. Nobody cares about the excuses right now.

The Coof caused that fumble yesterday? This is one hell of a virus! He seemed to be playing well (not great but well) for most of the game...this sounds like excuse-making to me.

Wow. Belichick making excuses saying this is a get the cap right year, now our starting QB making excuses. This isn’t the Patriot Way.

Yeah I’m definitely getting tired of the Covid excuse too. Every other team has the same excuse and they’re still playing motivated.

Why don’t they just come out and say they didn’t really want to play this year? That’s what it’s starting to feel like watching this team.

If everyone on the team is going to start talking like this, then they should start going into details and explain everything. Don't talk about how the cap affected team building without explaining why you keep drafting second round corners who can't make the roster or how you can't draft a single good receiver. Don't cherry pick your questions to make yourself look better and then gloss over the ones that make you look bad.

He’s not wrong.

They just went on the road to the division leader, a 5-2 team and had them vested until a fumble. How does that translate to not wanting to play?
They had 2 poor games, on the heels of not being able to practice, and otherwise have been in, and probably should have won every other game. They have played a schedule of
7-1
6-1
6-2
4-3
4-3
4-4
3-4
That’s opponent win % of 34-18. Probably the toughest schedule in the league.
And they are 3 brain farts in the last minute from being 5-2 with only 1 bad loss.

Every other team didn't lose 2 defensive cornerstones. It's not like COVID is some blanket situation with all experiencing the same impact. The Patriots have been hit especially hard, and it's almost certainly had a greater impact on their team than most others. Not an excuse; just reality.

Who are these 2nd round corners who can't make the roster - Joejuan? He's on the roster and has played well in a crowded secondary.
Can't draft a "single" good receiver? Edelman ring a bell, perhaps?
Where did the cherry picking occur - can you point to that?

What about the other draft picks?
Thuney? Mason? Harris? Onwenu? The UDFAs - Jones? Jackson?

Belichick is far from perfect but these types of hyperbolic takes lacking any attention to detail or nuance are way off base.

And why did we have so many opt outs compared to other teams?

Our vets are fat and happy. They’ve won their rings. They weren’t motivated to play this year to the extent of other teams.

So.. every team that has had COVD19 has had their season derailed? Didn't hear about the entire NFC East being quarantined due to COVd19.
Straw man.

**** it....let's go 8-1, baby! Sneak into the playoffs as the #7 seed...play the Steelers in round 1...knock em' off...

And sit back and lick the salty tears of Max Kellerman and the haters!!!

LFG!!!

There goes our chance at ring 7. Thanks alot CHAYNA

That’s what any human with the competitive nature, drive and make up to be an nfl player would think. People sitting at keyboards, nah, they want to lose and get a prize for it. Probably says more about them than the team.

The Broncos derailed his super bowl ring.
