Then Oucho Sinko, next Josh Gordon. There was no way that AB was not going to be in a Pats uniform even if it was for a week. He even traveled to Boston by airplane instead of his hot air balloon saving 8 days of travel.
It only stands to reason that OBJ will be a Patriot.
Give us your malcontent WRs. Your drug addicted drama queens. The Attention whores who are happy for about 6 months until the honeymoon is over and the bickering and fighting begins.
Brady has never been about money. And the truth he left because BB was not going to pay him the money he wanted.
he wasnt....it was now (well last year) he wanted to be paid what he deserved (that's why he didn't want the franchise tag in his last contract). Which made sense, but BB was not going to pay a 43 year QB 20-25-30 mill.Brady has never been about money.
If he was Brady could have asked to be the highest paid QB of all time demanding a contract that nobody would ever top.
So far he looks deserving. On pace for over 4,100 yards (about 100 more than last year), 37 passing TD's (13 more than last year), and has a 4% higher completion rate so far. He is in a three way tie for the 10th heights paid QB so it looks to me like Tampa is getting a bargain.he wasnt....it was now (well last year) he wanted to be paid what he deserved. I would definitely take him and I think it makes sense. He's not as good as he once was but he's still better than anyone we have... he has a pre-existing relationship with Cam, they'd obviously gel. I think the current group but adding OBJ on top makes the WRs decent. TE is still meh but the rookies need more time. I am not clear offhand what his salary would be after a trade.

agreed, the offensive weapons the last 2 tears are nothing more than disgusting. The difference with TB here and TB in Tampa....wide outs and TEs. Nothing productive here compared to Tampa Bay. That's why i laughed my a** off everytime the national media or other teams fans said he was done after last season.....
Perhaps it's them simply not wanting him at his salary. They could potentially want to go into next year with a large amount of cap space in order to go crazy with FAs in a year that other teams won't be able to spend as freely... Who knows. To me he still has the potential to be a real WR1, especially if McDaniels gets to use him. His presence would create space for everyone else and transform the offense. The only question is why the Browns would give up on him at this point in time especially because they are not one of the teams that will be in a cap crunch due to COVID.

It’s not really the level of play on the next 6 games that drives the decision, it’s the ability to stay healthy and at that level over a long season and into the playoffs. He dropped off precipitously in the second half of last year which absolutely is a harbinger of the future. At 43 it’s a big gamble that this future isn’t upon us or imminent and the chance if staying healthy at 43 and beyond is shaky. So far he looks deserving. On pace for over 4,100 yards (about 100 more than last year), 37 passing TD's (13 more than last year), and has a 4% higher completion rate so far. Belichick wouldn't pay $20M (about 50% off of top market) right now for a guy on pace for 37 TDs and 11 INTs?
Except he wouldn't have been on pace for those numbers here in this offense. He'd be much closer to last year's numbers except against a harder schedule and the overall defense taking one step back with the numbers of players we lost.

I was going to reply but didn't have the energy. By now the people that are so off base on what happened are either new guys showing up or guys who will never change their mind. I'm bitter now watching him play knowing that we built the secondary that can wipe the smile off KC's face and we don't have an offense to help. It's not just about Brady of course...lost of missing pieces at this point. We should of held firm on AB with the league. We should of been more accommodating with Gronk or given Dola 4m. Most of all Josh needed to be gone yesterday and if we would of fired him and talked like men with Brady he would of stayed and we could of made KC cry some more. Also, **** the Ravens.Belichick wouldn't pay $20M (about 50% off of top market) right now for a guy on pace for 37 TDs and 11 INTs? I guess he either needs to reevaluate his age-enhanced projection of the player or reevaluate the quarterback market.
But we know what you're saying is absolute bologna. Tom Brady never dug in his heels and demanded a market contract...not with New England, Tampa Bay, or anywhere. He did what he always does, which is avoid the games of chicken and just settle on a number which seems reasonable though is not as much as he could get if he dug in. He's not going to play for pennies on the dollar, and he's not going to let the final 10% of the contract become a giant distraction and hindrance to signing. He even stated this earlier in the offseason, that this is his approach to contracts.
It was all about commitment with more years, guarantees, etc. so he could have long-term security to retire in New England instead of going year-to-year, and he was palpably upset that it had come as far as it did, the eve of free agency, when the Patriots had years to extend him.
And attitude absolutely plays into negotiations; Tampa Bay showed excitement about him and projected him as part of their long-term plans instead of treating him like an "agonizing question mark" who was going to be swept out the door with the only question of when. The Patriots could not have been more hands-off and passive in asking Brady to come back to them to see if they might be willing to match an offer. He had a bunch of teams telling him how badly they want him and selling him on their brand and how he will fit into their future with his post-40 goals - and one team who made it really, really clear that they had the bigger **** and were absolutely willing to let him walk away if he didn't like what they were serving.
Tough choice.
Sorry. Back on subject! I'm a solid 'no' on OBJ! Do you even have the kinds of brothels that he requires in your area? Dude has needs.Oh great, another thread that has become a full fledged Brady discussion...
