What do you expect him to do? Are you really suggesting that nfl players should not have any contact at all with any other humans or go anywhere aside from the facility and home for 6 months?
Actually...Yes.

The above post is an example of the lengths that fans will go to defend multi-millionaire athletes who don't even know they exist.

Tests can have false negatives.

But not over and over and over and over and over.

These people are tested EVERY SINGLE DAY.

If someone else had it, or gets it, they will test positive.
exept that we already know that's not true. Your faith in the NFL to test its athletes competently is appalling.

please explain how we know that not to be true. To my knowledge, no player has ever tested negative many many many times and then ended up being positive.

ever.

we have had players test positive ONCE and then test negative right after. But not over and over and over.

No. Maybe I wasn't clear on that.

Before people start making up crazy weird scenarios for how Newton got infected (like the insane Malcolm Butler benching outrageous comments saying he got high on drugs, with zero evidence), it literally could have been anything that got Newton infected. The wrong lineman breaths on Newton the wrong way in a tackle pile in any of the first 3 games, etc. So don't go insinuating some negative reasons when nobody knows.

.
so what lineman he played against tested positive??

Do we know if anyone else was at the Cam-Gilly dinner?

For this season? Yes. Or opt out.

in Europe all football teams are in a bubble in a hotel. No contact with anyone.

They just had West Indies and Pakistan and Australia cricket teams over to visit. All teams had to be in bubbles in the hotels throughout (3/4 months at a time). England star bowler Jofra Archer got kicked off the team since he didn’t take the team bus and stopped by his flat for 45 minutes for a quick shag with his girlfriend inbetween the team changing hotels/stadiums. Noone tested positive.

If you want to get serious about it, put the whole team in a bubble. That’s it.!!!

The nfl players don’t want to do that. I wouldn’t want to do that.
They have families and lives. Why should they be forced to give that up over a virus that they have just as good a chance catching if they opt out and lead a normal life and that gives them a 0.02% mortality rate?
it’s their choice isn’t it?

If trump can make a swift recovery, why can't Cam? Start the man after this week.

Because they endanger others? One person's mistake can endanger another person's life and livelihood. What you are saying is only valid if you only endanger yourself.

They don’t endanger others more by playing football than any one in any other occupation and probably a lot less.
So what you are saying is no one should leave their home. Ever.
