Pats under investigation for Covid protocol breaches

So the Titans have an outbreak - league says eh we’ll get around to it.
Saints- crickets
Chiefs- crickets
Falcons- crickets
Pats have a positive test- investigate them right NOW!

Seems legit

The league is investigating or has investigated the TItans....

It seems to me that Mike Vrabel is exactly the type of guy who doesn't give a damn about the covid protocols, so I'm not surprised there...

Will the league "get frustrated" when they can't find any violation?

If that was me and I saw my team getting harassed knowing we'll lose a pick no matter what (and it's far more likely than not we will)- I'd tell them to shove it, don't fly to KC, take the forfeit and leave Goodell and his buddies hanging like the chumps they are.

Goodell is such a transparently petty piece of %$@#.

It drives the NFL nuts that the Patriots have been so good for so long when they set up a system where that is not supposed to happen.

"We want to be extra cautious here because the virus can incubate for 5 days before a positive result shows up and the NFL is not doing enough for player safety we feel it would be irresponsible and violate not just the spirit, but the letter, of the focus on parity, to fly same day to play under these conditions." All while wearing the clown shirt.

call it 'ankle weights' ..... once the julio jones rumor became a thing, they said 'we gotta do something'

They are but they moved a lot slower than they did investigating us.

It's almost guaranteed we're losing a pick, knowing how these clowns operate.

Are the chiefs being investigated?

Yeah! Let's forfeit the game, and also be financially liable for all the money lost!! That'll show 'em!!!

Normally I am not one of those "they're out to get us!" every time something happens but this is insane. We have one player that tested positive (so far) and now they need to investigate? The league is just pissy their marquee matchup for week four is down the tubes and their almighty advertising dollars will suffer.

Schefter says he doesn't believe the Patriots have anything to worry about, but he says Mike Vrabel's bunch might be in trouble:

"Investigating is what they’re doing in Tennessee, and Tennessee’s going to pay the price for it,” Schefter added. “Tennessee’s in trouble. I haven’t gotten any kind of sense that New England’s in any kind of trouble.”

This makes sense consider one team has 1 single case (which I don't think we know yet how it happened) and the other team has a full on outbreak.

But I must warn the following: This article does not support the never ending "league is out to get us" paranoia we see in your forum.

Nah, 345 Park Avenue isn't out to get us. Not at all. Just a really crazy coincidence they're "frustrated" they couldn't pin a cheating scandal on their marquee franchise.

uh, we're talking about Covid in here. If you want to talk about videotaping, please bring it to the appropriate thread.

the filming in cicny by the media arm of krafty bob inc, unrelated to the team, loses us a high draft pick... i do not doubt for a second that the league is looking for dirt to dock us another draft pick

No, you scoffed at the idea that the league is out to get us. So you agree then that it's just a weird and crazy coincidence that they were "frustrated" they couldn't pin a cheating scandal on Belichick.

Yeah. Just a coincidence. Must be it. Nothing to see here...

I am scoffing at the notion that anything that has happened over the past week (from the scheduling of the game to the "investigation" of protocol violations) is anything but normal procedure for the League regarding how they are dealing with teams that have positive cases. Deflategate and videotaping are entirely different subjects which I would be happy to discuss in the appropriate thread instead of hijacking this one.

Ah yes... SB1's favorite maneuver.... play make believe and put words in someone's mouth then respond to what you are pretending someone said instead of what they actually said.

Wasn't this said before they took a 3rd round draft pick for the Patriots TV people having their camera on? nfl was 100% gunning for Belichick on that and couldn't tie him to it, it's why they took so long with it. I mean it was a f**king 6 months between it happening and the punishment.

Why was that? defamegate only took them a couple of months
