NFL Week 2 games discussion

Is there something Matt Ryan or the coaching is doing, to repeatedly be part of epic choke jobs ??

They never really recovered from what we did to them three years ago.

Ted Karras was our starting Center Last year because that's who we had because Andrews was out. When Karras was out and Ferentz played, we were without our starting Center. That's how it works.

Spin it however you'd like. Based on your description, I should be saying the Pats are without 6 defensive starters. 4 who are gone and 2 who opted out. But I don't say that because that's not reality.

I also don't say that the Pats are without a starting LB because Uche is not playing yet.

Right... because 2 opt-outs and 4 people who LEFT THE TEAM are the same as 3 guys who aren't playing because of injuries.

2 guys who got injured in week one, and 1 guy who got injured in the days leading up to week 1.

Goodness gracious.

In 2008, you weren't without your starting QB...right?

I didn't say anything about Milano and Edmunds. Claiming that Norman is a starter is pretty funny on your part. Guy who is in his first year with the team and isn't on the field.. Funny how you have Norman penciled in as a starter when Wallace was your 16 game starter last season.

Clearly you didn't understand my pointing out to you that Karras was our starter last year because Andrews was injured in the weeks leading up to the start of the season.

Maybe you should stop trolling.

Have to think at this point that Jimmy Garoppolo really is an injury prone player, whatever that actually means.
  • Injured shoulder in Game 2 of 2016 season after routine tackle.
  • Plays six games for 49ers in 2017.
  • Torn ACL in in Game 1 of 2018 season on another routine play.
  • Plays all games in 2019.
  • High ankle sprain in Game 2 of 2020 season on non-contact play.

Through two games this season, Ryan has 723 yards passing, six touchdowns, one interception, a 67.8 completion percentage, and a 109.6 quarterback rating. The last time Ryan touched the ball the Falcons were up 9 late in the 4th quarter. The Falcons are 0-2 because the defense is historically bad and Dan Quinn is a moron.

Edited to add: I'm been driving around listening to sports talk radio in Atlanta this morning. To say it's epically funny does not do it justice.

Norman is our starter. He was going to start.

Not according to me. According to camp reports.

Wallace was being phased into the nickel role.

You can see why if you watched yesterdays game where he got abused by multiple Miami receivers.

Brought in EJ Gaines too to compete, but oops, he opted out.

Ed Oliver was also hurt mid game.

There is no trolling here, just truth that you have a difficult time handling.

Philly is 0-2 and a hungry Joe Burrow is coming to town.. If Cinn gets their first win and sends the Eagles to 0-3 it might not be as much fun for Lane Johnson and company...

You are a troll. You proved it with the thread you started regarding the Patriots Offense last week against Miami. You're the guy making excuses about why your team barely was able to beat the team the Patriots beat by 10 points. Hell, you were boasting and asking Pats fans what their reactions were going to be to Buffalo putting a 40 spot on the Phins.. When confronted in that thread with questions, you couldn't be bothered to answer them. Not to mention the fact you initially portrayed yourself as a Pats fan. Something that everyone knew immediately was complete garbage.

So, No. Norman isn't your starter yet. No. you don't have excuses as to why your team barely beat the Dolphins. No. You don't have the ability to handle the truth so please stop saying that it's others who have the issue.

What were there some 20 major injuries this weekend around the league where players are gone for the season.. Probably the worst day in NFL History in terms of injuries..

For the 49ers, all those injuries reminded of a Patriots preseason game in the 70s (? early 80s)
when if I recall correctly, Hannah, Gray several important players and Steve Nelson all suffered long term injuries in the same game and the season went down the crapper right then and there...sort of like the 49ers chance to get back to the super Bowl..
