Thanks Ross, that was my fault...I had a blond moment.

Apologies folks - seems this thread got locked somehow instead of the Game Day thread. Fixed now.

The Dolphins behaved like *****es and one of them grabbed the chain off Newton's neck.

It was #94 Wilkins who grabbed Cam's chains. And that was AFTER the game. That's utter BS and the guy should be fined for it.. Especially since he'd been pushed away TWICE..

I never understood why they wear expensive chains playing football. But a ***** move nevertheless.

Anyone hear an answer why Uche was inactive?

The team has to run the ball, i didnt mean that newton shouldnt ever run the ball, but it should be as little as possible.
No he has to run consistently. The threat of him running opens up the rest of the offense. Newton at QB without the threat of newton running would be hideous

Can’t really see how anyone could want more than « today’s Cam ». I mean, he was fierce and focused. Even when his teammates fell short, he kept pushing. And the second half - he had NO incompletions in the 3rd quarter.

For one day, raging success. I was a major doubter and I still fear this won’t be a magical ride, but Cam was simply magnificent.

One play in particular : 4th and short late in the game. Not only does he get it, he pushes so close to the goal line that it was a gimme TD.

This is the Cam Newton panthers fans (the rational ones at least) have seen for nearly a decade. The guy is a truly special talent and he leaves it all on the field. I’m pumped to be along for the rest of this ride.

SMH.. No, Van Noy wasn't invisible. He made several plays. We were just able to overcome them.
I remember 1. The stat sheet says he made 5 tackles. When the other team runs it 42 times (For 217) and you are a lb making 5 tackles there is very little argument that you made “several plays” or had a good day.

KVN did get the answer to his pre game bs. Today, the offense was that good against you, sir.

(Wrong topic)

don't understand this either. I don't know what that had to do with being soft. He made a mistake but looked really solid out there.
IMO - I would like to see a bit more physicality from Harry, but in general he was using his frame to at least box out defenders and give himself secure catch windows. Considering he barely played last year and it was with a different QB in a pretty differently focused offense, and no preseason this year, I'm going to look at this as an extension of his rookie year. He still has growing to do but I liked what I saw overall besides the gaffe at the goal line. Bill will nix that. I think he will be a good contributor this season.

Harry will be physical. He is battling some shoulder issues at the moment.

Harry caught 5 for 39 right? I mean, not world beating numbers, but not milk carton numbers. And er that little fumble thing...

2. WR Byrd played all game and no catches. He's terrible. How about getting Asiasi more touches ??
.
I'm not sure how a player is supposed to have any catches when he was not targeted with a single pass.

Yes, he did have the muffed punt early but that was on Jackson for allowing the Miami player to to push him into Byrd.

Yes exactly. So how about a starting wideout one would actually call a couple plays for ?

I was a little harsh on the Harry hate....it's old age, I'm cantankerous these days. Hopefully he steps it up going forward. Just hate those plays that give a 14 point swing to the other team
