Last 8 games
163/295 55.3%
1730 pass yards
10 td
(This is 3460 passing yards and 20 tds per 16 games, which would be near worst in the league)
4 ints
79 passer rating.
Offense score 19 ppg

very few qbs were worse than that over 8 games.

The patriots had one of the worse receiving cores in the nfl the second half of the year to be fair. All you have to do is look at the numbers of these guys. Sanu and harry where useless. In Tampa the running game will improve and they have tons of weapon. Look for that complete percentage to go up. Brady started the season well because guys like gordon where contributing and then we know the rest.

I got the the AFC east being like this .

Buffalo 10-6, pats 8-8 Jets 6-10, Miami 5-11. We will have the same problems as last year. Lack of playmakers on offense.

While I think they will win their division, I do not understand all the love the Ravens are getting.

They got exposed badly in the playoffs and their QB won't throw 36 TDs this year. Lamar is a GREAT athetle, but a "meh" passer. There is now plenty of film on him and it is a matter of "can he adjust"? He looked like dog **** in the playoffs. Maybe he can adjust long term, but I think he will fall back a little this year. The AFC is the Chiefs' to lose, IMO.

AFCE: Pats (10-6, max)
AFCN: Baltimore
AFCW: KC
AFCS: Houston

NFCE: Dallas
NFCN: Green Bay
NFCW: Seattle
NFCS: Tampa

SB: Pats over TB (yes, I am being a blind homer)
Realistic SB: Seattle over KC

I have never accepted excuses for poor results so I won’t start now. Brady’s numbers were horrendous in those final 8 games. Worst by far of his career. That’s a fact.

I’m curious about what makes you think the bills are a better team than the patriots.
They don’t have a better defense.
They don’t have a better qb
They don’t have a better ol/running game.
They don’t have a better coach.

What are you basing your assessment on?

I think the focus will be the ground game, and it should be better now with a QB who can run the ball too. So hopefully that opens things up for the passing game where we won't need superstars at skill positions. Just solid fundamental offense that can win games 24-20 or 17-10 if the defense is as good as it was last year. So I would put our ceiling at 11-5 and our floor at 7-9. Probably 9-7 is what I'd go with gun to my head

Slow the game down on both sides of the ball.
Ball control offense, run first, play action, hopefully short passing game comes back with TEs.
Defense limits passing, forcing ball control from opponent, forcing mistakes.
I expect lower scoring games.
10-6 and the AFCE reign continues.

I’m not even sure the Bills schedule is any easier than the Pats. They don’t play Baltimore and Houston but they will play a much improved and healthier Steelers and also the Titans and we know how the Titans have been to us lately.

I keep seeing “experts” talk about the terrible Buccaneers defense

5th overall in total defensive DVOA
12th overall in pass defense DVOA
1st overall in run defense DVOA

The Buccaneers actually had the 6th greatest run defense of all time according to DVOA. They were behind

2000 Ravens
1991 Eagles
2015 Jets
1998 Chargers
2014 Lions

I’m lame I predict an 8 & 8 record lol. I’m confident in Cam, O - line and our defensive secondary. But the lack of offensive weapons is a big concern. My hope is that BB has this squad well coached and we can take advantage of teams not being as prepared as we are.

And yet with these same "weapons"(snicker) - except for the rookie TEs - you think they'll go 9-7/10-6? Not happening.

6-10.

Worst WRs in NFL History.

Tank for Trevah.

If that's the case... can't see Brady getting much past .500 if he stayed here.

Their defense is not chopped liver. It was top 5 i believe. They got better offensively. Yes the QB is inconsistent but i think they will score enough to win games. Now yes we have a very good defense but they’re without some of their key guys this season. The LBs are an unknown. I feel like they need another body upfront. I expect teams to try and run it down their throats.

i only see losses against chiefs and Ravens, everything else is perfectly winnable. I see 11-5,with 3 surprise defeat.

There's a lot of love for TB in this thread.

There's also zero consideration of injuries, coaching and luck - three necessities to a Super Bowl title considerably more so in a COVID environment. I'm not in the predictions business, but am in the "all things considered" business.

This season is going to be great fighting over Tom Brady each week.

How did they get better offensively?

They picked up Stefon Diggs. The guy throwing him the ball might not get it to him very accurately or often though.

The Bills are another team that will have their HFA diminished some by limited fans.

Adding a decent, inconsistent, head case WR doesn’t impress me.
