"The salary cap is going down next year so perhaps the team wants to carry over as much cap space as possible to give themselves flexibility to sign their own players".

There is a ton of that on these boards, everyone thinks they're a hall of fame GM and talk down to others who have differing opinions all the time

Per Payton, he wants to give the younger LBs a shot. Also, he allegedly had some off-field issues and his production dipped during the latter part of his tenure in PHI..He’s still plenty serviceable.

Why did the Saints let Bradham go? Did Bradham regress in recent years? I remember when he was a FA target for some of us in this forum.

He still is, or at least should be...With all of last year's starters not in the building, there is Zero veteran leadership in the LB room...Bradham would provide that and at the same time he would also automatically become our best open-field defender of the Front 6/7...No harm in giving him a call...

Falcons just released Jamon Brown, if the Pats are really in the market for another interior OL he is pretty good. I suspect they're just keeping the emergency rolls ready in case of injury though. Should be a revolving door on the back end of this roster until camp ends.
