Who are your top 5 players from parts I & II of the Dynasty ?

Part 1:

1. Brady
2. McGinest
3. Law
4. Bruschi
5. Harrison

(I really wanted to add Corey Dillon in here)

Part 2:

1. Brady
2. Gronk
3. Edelman
4. Hightower
5. Butler (You could argue he should be #1 as it doesn't happen without him)

(I really wanted to add Chandler Jones and Stephon Gilmore in here)

I think you nailed

Part II (2014-2018)
1) Brady
2) Edelman
3) Gronk
4) D McCourty
5) Hightower

Off the top of my head I can't think of any other obvious candidates.

Part I (2001-2004)
Brady and Brown are locks and the rest could be a mixture of Bruschi, Harrison, McGinnist, Seymour, Law, and Vinatieri. I might Harrison on the bottom of the list since he was only here for 2 out of the 4 years; still huge impact though no doubt.

The first dynasty wave is harder to choose...there are about ten guys that have a strong argument.

Part One
Brady
Harrison
Seymour
Brown
McGinest
(Law, Bruschi, Vinatieri, Vrabel, Light)

Part Two
Brady
Gronkowski
Edelman
McCourty
Gilmore
(Hightower, Wilfork, Amendola, White, Gostkowski)

Part II (2014-2018)
1) Brady
2) Edelman
3) Gronk
4) D McCourty
5) Hightower

I totally understand the Hightower pick, but I'm still taking Gilmore. I have Hightower at #6. A 3X Champ who made some of the biggest plays. But Gilmore, IMO, is the best overall defender the team has had for Part 2 and rivaled only by Seymour in the last 20 years.

1 - Brown
2 - Bruschi
3 - D McCourty
4 - Hightower
5 - Edelman

Part 1

Brady
Seymour
Vinatieri
Harrison
Law

Tough omissions: Bruschi, Branch, Brown, Wilfork

Part 2

Brady
Gronkowski
Edelman
Hightower
Butler

Tough omissions: Gilmore, Slater, Wilfork

I was surprised that Vrabel was only mentioned once and then it was as a back-up.

His name was my first impulse and I realized my choice might be more of a favorite player than a top player as OP suggested.

Mikes' trash talking to BB, catching TD passes and making Steeler fans miserable just made him so likeable for me.

I'm still working on the other 9.

Off the top of my head....and assuming dynasty I runs from 2000-2004 only and dynasty II runs from 2014-2019.

Law, Phifer, McGinest, Brady, Harrison

Brady, Edelman, Gronkowski, Hightower, D. McCourty

Brady
Law
Willie Mac
Seymour
Branch

Brady
Gronk
Jules
Hightower
Gilmore

Mine are

Part I (2001-2004)

1) Brady
2) Bruschi
3) Harrison
4) Brown
5) McGinnest

Part II (2014-2018)

1) Brady
2) Edelman
3) Gronk
4) D McCourty
5) Hightower

Who are yours ?

No Vince Wilfork? He spanned both dynasty’s and he’s a HOF caliber player.

1)

Brady

Seymour
No glory in the trenches.

Other than Brady he was the best player on the team from 2004-2014. And he’s the only other player who won ring’s a decade apart. Until he tore his Achilles he dominated all game every game. You never watched a game and said” man did Wilfork suck today....” It simply didn’t happen. You’re absolutely right about “ the trenches” but Wilfork was a force.

I
1) Big Sey
2) Law
3) Brown
4) Light
5) Tara Reids’s boyfriend

II
1) Who ever filled the #1 CB slot
2) Hightower
3) Edelman
4) Alex Guerrero’s favorite glutes
5) Gronk

Any list that doesn't have Vinatieri in it is invalid.

Sorry, but that's the facts.

Part 2 of the question involves years that Vinatieri wasn't on the team. He was playing for bitter rival, the Indy Colts. So it IS valid not to list him on list 2.

Players not named Brady:

Dynasty 1.0
Vinatieri
Law
Rodney

Brown. I know that’s 6 but it’s hard to keep one of them off the list.

Dynasty 2.0

Gronk
Hightower
D-Mac
Blount

Willie
Brady
Vinatieri
Bruschi
Law

Brady
Gronk
Edelman

3. Thompkins
4. Haynesworth
5. Gronkowski as a safety
