Just noticed that the Panthers who passed on Isaiah Simmons to take Derrick Brown were the ones who took Jeremy Chinn who was seen as a similar type to Simmons. Seems like a good strategy.

I had a date with Lenora Rhine back in the day...she was a stripper at the Crazy Horse. Woke up with my wrist cuffed to the headboard, lipstick on my lower unit and wallet on the lam. So, yeah I have a little trepidation about this pick

...but memories to last a lifetime!

Stop hitting the crack pipe. Tampa is in the playoffs barring injuries to all three of Evans, Godwin and Gronk.

Do you see them beating the Saints or are you relying on them getting a wildcard? I’m guessibg two come out of the NFC west with the Bucs battling the Vikings presumably.

What I know is that Brady has missed the playoffs one time in 20 years, in his second season as a starter...barely. He has a loaded offense and the Bucs are upgrading defensively. I'd argue it is safe to say they will be in the playoffs. And with Brady and that offense don't tell me they cant compete against any other team in a playoff game. I'm not saying they are in the Super Bowl book it but let's not act like they are a fringe playoff team.

I’m not saying I’m looking for Gronkowski or Hernandez either I’m talking about which role they fit.
If I get your answer correctly they would be competing for a job and either could be TE1.
If we were to run a 2 TE offense I would see asiasi as the the traditional TE and Keene as the move te/hback.
Would you agree or no?
Pretty much yea. I just think Keene is a littler closer to a traditional Y than some might think but its not a huge deal at all.

jennings and duger look like your usual 2nd round bust bb special.
I like the TEs though.

I think you’re higher on the current incarnation of Brady than I am. After last season, I just can’t be. He’ll have weapons so there’s certainly a chance, but he’s not getting younger and last season was definitely a decline year.

We’ll see who is right and who is wrong. I didn’t see physical deterioration from Brady related to age. Did you?

I saw a QB who could not get in synch with two rookie receivers, literal trash at TE and spent most of the season behind a backup LT who was woefully unprepared to protect his blindside. I think it was circumstances far more than a physical decline. But if you noticed a physical decline I’d love to hear your analysis. I’ve yet to see anyone provide any evidence of a decline.

We shall see.

So you’ve seen no evidence of a decline in his actual physical ability. Gotcha.

I have, I watched him last season. If you’re trying to pretend that last season was vintage Brady then we’re just going to be talking past each other.

Overall I feel the Pats draft looked solid if unexciting. BB loaded up on the defensive side: Safety, Linebacker, Edge.

We might struggle to score the football in 2020 but at least our defense will keep us in games.

Yet you can’t point out any signs of his decline related to age.

I’m not talking past you. And now you are putting words into my mouth. I didn’t say last season was “vintage Brady”. I’m saying that your claim that last season was proof of his decline is incorrect or at least not backed by any evidence.

It is really quite simple and you won’t answer the question. If last season was evidence of Brady’s decline surely you could point to something physical in his game that has deteriorated.

Last season was a ****tail of crap that resulted in a mediocre year for everyone on offense. Lack luster talent, QB not in synch with the rookies, Brady discontent. All those contributed but there was no notable physical decline related to his age.

Stands to reason that a content Brady with much better talent should be pretty ****ing good unless he has Peyton Manning’d this off season.

I saw mental decline. And, if wasn’t vintage Brady, then it was less than vintage Brady which is just a different way of saying declined Brady.

I’d love for you to be right, I’d love Brady to go as far as possible in TB. I just don’t think it’s a given.

I don’t see these ideas as being mutually exclusive. Brady most certainly saw a drop off and I agree with the mental decline, but he’s probably still good enough to compete at a decent level, especially with lots of talent around him. It should be fun to watch and see how it turns out.

Exactly, just as I’ve been saying. Unfortunately that doesn’t seem to satisfy KD05.

He battled through a good handful of injuries last year, so that alone could be indicative of an age decline. We won’t really know until we see him out there on a consistent basis.

I saw mental decline.

II agree with the mental decline

Sure looked to be some mental decline on that last pass that he threw, particularly in a 14-13 (at the time) playoff game. He half-assed that to the moon and back.

As another poster said , not exciting but addressed areas of concern , time will tell. I am still a little concerned about our WR's.

Got to give the coaches time to put things together
